Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The Lazy Tiki is a reason in of itself to visit the island of Guimaras. If you love peace, nature and are passionate about delicious food with quality ingredients this place is for you. After 5 weeks in the Philippines this was exactly what we needed. We had the budget room which was very comfortable and had everything you needed. What makes this place so special is the hosts, Phillipe and his family are so warm and welcoming, you feel at home the minute you arrive. They have great stories about their life in the Philippines and back in France. The breakfast, lunches and dinner every evening was some of the best food we had in the Philippines. It was local food with a French twist using quality ingredients. The pool area is so relaxing as is the beautiful garden. The beach is wild/rustic which was perfect for us to walk along and enjoy the nature. The location is out of the way which is what makes it so special but it's easy to get a trike from Buenavista port or Phillipe will arrange a pickup at a good price. You don't need to leave for food (you won't get any better food anywhere in the Philippines at this price) and there is hot/cold water freely available with drinks to purchase if you need. You can organise some day trips to various places on the island at a reasonable price, we had an island hopping trip near the mangroves on a weekday and we were the only ones around. If you want to get off the tourist trail and experience an island which is still relatively untouched by mass tourism; this place is for you.

CanadaWe liked everything.
The Lazy Tiki is located at the northern part of Guimaras island. The owners are a very friendly Filipino/French family. We felt like being part. The offered cuisine is outstanding, encompassing the best of both cultures. Deep, educated conversations at dinner times about land and culture were exceptionally uplifting. They are also offering touring service for the whole island with an experienced young local driver which we took advantage of for sightseeing and island hopping.

PhilippinesCouldn't think of anything. We needed rest from our busy city life and we got more than that.
The food is incredible! For less than 500 we got a full course meal that tastes more than we paid for. The owner, Philip is very nice and accomodating. Ate Juliana who served us (and also the cook) is warm and taught us about the trees, vines and fruits that is around the resort. Speaking of which, Lazy Tiki is abundant in fruits and trees. Their dogs are so sweet and looks well taken care for. Sky is very sweet :) We also got a cheap service to Buenavista wharf and a side trip to nearby landmarks. Highly recommended!

ChinaIt did not bother me but a heads up for those looking for a swimming beach: one can swim off the private beach only at high tide.
We spent 6 days at the Lazy Tiki and had 3 meals a day. The food was delicious local recipes, many of which we will make ourselves once back home. It is pretty secluded and quiet - exactly what we wanted. We could read and simply relax without anyone disturbing us. The sounds of frogs, crickets and birds were an extra plus while the hundreds of dragonflies during the day and fireflies at night were the cherry on the cake. Philippe and his team are very eco-conscious with no sign of any plastic around. Refreshing.

TurkeyIt's a bit hard to find the place - we goes by trike and it was a bit hard with small local roads. so it may be better to ask hosts to meet you at a pier
All great! Philippe is an amazing host and his family very nice and helpful too. Food are excellent and delicious, especially for abroad travellers - cooks are French men. Rooms are very comfortable, made with a lot of taste and have a sea view. Beautiful place for lazy rest with gourmet cuisine several days after long islands hopping!

GermanyThe location ist far from everything and there is nothing to do but chill. There is a beach but it’s sad and dirty and rough (no swimming). There was construction right next to the small pool, so we would mostly stay on the terrace. Construction was a bit noisy, they were building a new house for the reception.
Very nice people, exceptional service and hospitality. They made a gluten free tiramisu for us! They really do go above and beyond and are very friendly! Breakfast is was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, with probably the best shower we had on our travels.
