Loved the rooftop area and the general vibe of the hostel

The second night we stayed a club close the hostel played such loud music that you could feel the bass. This started at 12.00am and went on to 4.00am. It’s impossible to sleep with that level of volume. So we had very little sleep. It put us off so much we have changed where we stay at the end our holiday.

We spent 2 nights at this amazing hostel in the popular area of Makati. A gem of a place, ideally positioned to enjoy the amenities, food & night life on offer. The hostel itself is well run, clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. This is very much a backpackers venue, using this as a stopover before going off to the islands. They offer some really lovely touches with breakfast included in the price offering a good choice, including cereal, toast, various types of cooked eggs, coffee, and juices. A particularly nice touch is the daily walking tour they offer at 4:30pm where volunteers take you to see some of the local sites and experience some of the local customs. This culminates in everyone meeting up on the rooftop bar for a complementary drink, amazing views of the skyline and great company. A big shout out to Gwen, she is so friendly, made amazing drinks and was great fun, Perry & Dante for their enthusiasm, helpfulness, and knowledge and Juju for her local knowledge, big personality and friendliness. What more could you ask for.

I found the noise coming from the outside was very loud at night time and it made it difficult to sleep

Location - if you want to sleep at night, it's NOT a place for you. It's in the middle of the night life and gets really noisy, even earplugs didn't help much. Even though I informed them a couple of weeks!! ahead, that I'll arrive in the morning after my overnight flight and paid for the whole day with the idea of getting enough sleep, they made me stay 5 hours in one bed from 6am to 11am (the worst one with the loudest AC just by my head) and move to another with check out/check in process again! This is a horrible arrangement. Why wouldn't it possible to give the same bed for 2 nights if I paid for them and let you know much in advance?! I'd rather stay on the couch without paying for the first night and check in later.

The breakfast was good, with a lot of options to choose from; I enjoyed a rooftop bar (they even provided the free cocktail in the evening); The room was quite big, with a spacious locker. The bed was comfortable We had a private bathroom on the room which is more convenient.

There is not that not perfect

Sooooo loud on the weekend. Maybe another side of the building is better but wowwwww. I could sleep until 04am one night

Amazing roof top bar and near a lot of restaurants and bars. Inexpensive taxi to and from airport and surrounding areas (approx 350-400peso to and from airport with grab taxi app)

There was a bit of a smell in our shared dorm, and on the advice of fellow travellers I didn't even look in the bathroom. There were no curtains so should a fellow traveller come in and turn on the lights, your sleep will easily be disturbed.

Complimentary evening cocktail. Staff were kind enough to have a breakfast sandwich ready for my very early checkout at 5am. Great location, close to the airport and main strip for bars and clubs.

The blankets are too thin. With a strong AC, the blankets could be thicker. The noise from the streets is very loud. There were days that music only stopped at 3 am, so keep that in mynd before booking here.

It’s a very Cousy place with great breakfast. The staff is very generous and there some activities organized by the hostel. The rooftop is a must

It's very noisy. Make sure you wear earplugs if you want to get a good night's sleep. If you want to party you should be alright. The bathroom wasn't that clean (well it wasn't dirty per se, more like old and the sink was rusty, etc). I didn't feel uncomfortable in that sense but this is the one thing I'd improve when it comes to facilities. Everything else was clean. My bed was right next to the A/C which meant it was very cold sometimes and noisy. Maybe it depends on the room.

Really easy to socialize. The rooftop area is pretty cool! They organize daily free tours around the area which I couldn't attend but I heard they're fun. Breakfast was a nice bonus as well. The manager (I think) was very nice as well, overall very nice atmosphere. The volunteers were also very helpful. Will probably stay again when flying out of the Philippines. The area is good and there are plenty of food options around. I recommend this place especially if you're a solo traveler.

The reviews about the noise definitely weren’t making it up!! Music from the rooftop is extremely loud and was playing until 4am. I was on the floor below the rooftop, so I’m not sure how this would be if you were lower down. If you have earplugs, it’s not so bad - but if you’re a light sleeper, just something to be mindful of
