Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe reeption is a mobile number. But when you called, it replied that you have to call back later. I was not given the main door & room code number when I arrived before 1.00pm. The office on the 1st floor allowed me into the building. I waited for more than an hour to get the codes from Five Point Hostel. I called the mobile no given several times but always received the same negative response. The hostel should have given me the codes earlier. I was stressed and hungry while waiting.
Like the location & cleanliness.

PolandIt's already October and rather cold in Poland at this time of the year, so I wish the heater in my room had worked. I can't say I was cold, but the bed cover is rather thin. The floors are stone (tile?), with no carpet, so it's always cold on your feet as well. I wish there was a small lamp or light next to the bed as well. + please fix the power sockets, this can't be entirely safe
The location is just fantastic! It's close to the main train/bus station, to one of the biggest shopping centers in the city and to the beautiful Old Town. I really liked how there was no physical keys, the automatic doors are really easy to use and I didn't have to worry about carrying around the keys. There's a bar downstairs and all around the place, but it didn't really disturb my sleep. The bedsheets were clean and the bed comfortable. I'd consider staying here again.

United KingdomVery clean and smart, great shower/bathroom facilities. No relaxation area, no tables, no living room, no cooking or microwave. Just literally the dorms and bathroom, so bear that in mind. Great location though!

Czech RepublicThere were no curtains or blinders on the window. I hope temporarily. stayed only one night. The doors were noisy as hell, not only the usual click clack of digitally opened doors but also whenever there was draft in the hallway (even with my window and door closed) I could hear my and others' doors slamming. Also I decided to take one star off for the communication delays but gave it back for the free early check-in 🙂 It's just that the official check-in is 2pm. When I said that I would arrive at 10am, then postponed it to 11am, it seemed like no problem (i.e. no reply). I got in front of building at 10:50, got inside at 11:30. Considering that the check-in was contactless and the time agreed. I don't understand why I had to wait 15 and 20 minutes for a reply and entrance codes. If the room was still getting ready, or any other reason, I'd prefer a simple "you're early, you bozo, wait till 12, go get lunch or smt". Seriously 🙂
Superb location. Chill vibes. Cozy simple lounge room/kitchen. Very clean.

CanadaThe lack of onsite staff left the hostel feeling a little sterile. If you're looking for a hostel type atmosphere this isn't the place for you. However if you're traveling with a group and just need a place to stay this would fit the bill perfectly.
Beds, cleanliness, and location were all top notch here. We'd stay here again in Gdansk

GermanyReal scary part was a guy in underwear, halfly getting out of the window in front of bathrooms and shouting "do you want to die" into it. That's a big minus of hostels without constant present of owner or administrator: those people are not controlled. My room was really cold, and I could only be there under the blanket and in clothes.
Good location, easy check-in (I hope those codes are changed after every visitor), comfortable bed and really well-cleaned room. Also bathrooms were surprisingly clean!

SpainThe kitchen didn't have ANY way to heat food. There was only a kettle but no pots, no microwave... Also, it was difficult to contact the staff to gain entrance to the building and get the access codes... there was Zero contact with the owners/receptionist of the hostal at any time...just someone who gave the access codes over the phone. I think there were cameras to help control who is in the building, but I didn't like that no one took a copy of the IDs of the people who were staying there. If there had been a problem, you don't even know who to report. It could be a potential problem that there is no manager on site.
It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The lockers were nice and big so you could put all your things in it. The location is perfect.

ItalyThe check in procedure was a mess. Despite previous communication (I was asked when I would arrive, I provided the info but then NO FOLLOW UP). I arrived around 7pm as I did not get a response if I could leave my things before 2pm. I rang the bell at least 10 times. No response. I had to call to get the codes to get in. I heard that others had the same issue. Only one person actually received the codes before arrival. Not everyone can call to get the information. This needs to change. I don't care if there is nobody at reception as frankly, there is no reception as such. But please inform the guests in the hostel description about the codes. No hand soap or shower gel. Hand soap is a must. No stove or hotplate. Only a microwave. No drapes in the bedroom. I am very sensitive to light so this was a problem. The cleaning lady changed the bed next to me at 7.50AM today (!!!!!) I was still sleeping. Was that really necessary?
Spotless! Very modern. Shower and sinks all furnished with automatic faucets. Very nice. Bed and pillow were both comfortable (there were 5 beds in a room that was supposed to be 4 beds but on the 1st night, 2 were not occupied. Is this by design that there is always one bed free? If the codes had been provided in advance, check in would have been great (see below)

PolandIt's not really a disadvantage but I missed some hooks in the room, as well as it would be great if there was a mirror. I saw it in other rooms though.
The hostel is very comfy, clean and quiet. Great location, few mintutes walking from the railway station and the touristic part with all the shops and restaurands around. Easy self check in, clean bathrooms. Recommended 100%.

DenmarkLack of desk staff and tourist brochures to help with tourist questions and bookings.
It was so unbelievably central…7 minute walk to the train station, about 5 minutes to the bus to/from the airport (the 210), and right by so many attractions. I literally walked everywhere. The hostel was clean and beds lovely. The only issue was if you were stuck with roommates who fussed around with their luggage in the middle of the night or talked too loud in the next room - the usual hostel type thing - but nothing a quick conversation can’t tackle. The only difference from other hostels is the lack of cooking facilities (which I was not interested in anyway) and the lack of desk staff to help you with questions about the city. It didn’t hinder the check in process one iota as I was emailed the info upon request though usually I think you’d call to get it upon arrival. I would totally make this my base if I came back to this beautiful city.

IndonesiaThe online receptionist gave me wrong room. I checked in at around 18 then the receptionist directed me to sleep at room 5b, then I went out for sightseeing, after I came back to the apartment around midnight, I was shocked bcause the beds were all full, occupied with people. Then I called the receptionist and protested. Finally she gave other bed in different room. It was not a nice experience. Receptionist should be careful. Because I paid 68 złoty, I deserve a good service. The receptionist also should learn how to say sorry. She did not say sorry as if she was not wrong. Please use this as your improvement.
The apartment is clean and nicely design. Location is superb. Cleaning ladies were so polite and smiling.
