Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomExcellent location and really good value for money. Breakfast is included: bread, jam, meat, cheese, tomato, cucumber, cereal, milk, tea and coffee. It needs a few things fixing and a common room would have been nice

AustriaThe only thing I would suggest are curtains on the beds for a little bit of privacy.
The location is really central, you can reach everything on foot from the hostel, staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean, the only thing I missed was a curtain on the bed for privacy. Breakfast was also OK for the price, I mean you cannot really expect a Ritz buffet for a hostel price, so I do not get the negative reviews about that. It was certainly enough for a good start of the day, whether you go exploring in the city or for a day trip somewhere. Wifi was also fast and efficient.

ReunionMinimal breakfast, there is nothing left after 8.30 but cereales. When you ask them to refill they just shove a few pieces of bread...every single morning was the same. So I only had cereales. Don't count on a full filling breakfast. For those who might dislike, toilets and bathroom are mixt and there is no lock to close the door. Mattress was hollow in the middle so I slept against the wall, I picked another place for the rest of the trip.
Key to come in, possible to lock the door. There is a locker. Usually clean.

United KingdomThere was only 3 showers and on the first day there was a kind of weird smell in my room. It wasn’t as bad on the second day though.
It was a cheap Accomadation which is a 10 min walk away from the main square.

HungaryI think there should be more toilets and showers available.
The hostel was clean. It has a well-equiped kitchen and a good breakfast is provided every day which includes bread, jam, salami, ham, cheese, butter, cereals, tea, coffee and vegetables. The room is equipped with a locker, the beds are confy ans the bedsheets were clean. In the beginning it was a little cold but by the evening the room had a perfect temperature. The shower has hot water, you just need to wait for it a bit sometimes.

PortugalThe lighting in the shower room could be improved, some people take their time with mirrors 😉
Nice little place right next to the Barbican/gate. Not your typical/instagram hostel but a great base to visit the city. We reserved a triple room that was very spacious and nice and warm. The beds were fantastic! Great value for the price.

United StatesThe kitchen area is away from the wifi, making connections difficult. It is also the only place with a work surface and forces guests to their rooms versus meeting other travelers. The kitchen is also next to the smoking balcony, and smoke from cigarettes enters the kitchen, making it difficult to breathe clean air. :) One of the shower stalls does not lock, and another one has nowhere to hang the shower head, which reduces three showers down to one. :) The elevator only works going up and not down, making luggage difficult to manage. The hostel does not have a washer and dryer. :) The lockers in the bedrooms are too small to accommodate a standard suitcase with wheels. There is also no mirror in the room.
The hostel is within walking distance to cathedrals, castle, parks, museums, university, and shopping. It is also 15 minutes away from the bus and train station.

SlovakiaNoise from the street, and it got a little bit cold at night.
Nice, clean cozy hostel. Very close to city center. Nice staff who speaks english. Breakfast provided every day, possibility of using washing machine, kitchen, balcony. Every guest has a personal locker. Beds are very comfortable. Showers are clean and modern, and there are shelves and curtains inside, so your clothes etc won't get wet. Also possible to stay in a girls-only room which is a big plus :) I recommend anyone to stay here while visiting Krakow!!

United Arab EmiratesFacilities were a little dated. There are only three showers and three toilets, so you will need to wait to use the facilities. The mattress was a little uneven, probably because the lower bunk is used alot more often. I had to turn the mattress for better support.
Staff were helpful and cheerful, esp Maria and Oliva (I think that was her name) Location is very close to the old town, less than 5 mins walk There are three supermarkets close by and 2 bakeries. Very close to the local market in case you need vegetables to cook.

SerbiaI didn't expect that the prices are so high in Krakow. Food is expensive, drinks, preety much everything in the stores. Polish folks are not very approachable or friendly, it is not common to find a person who speaks english. Be aware of the controllers in public transportations, not the nicest people you can run into. Regarding the hostel, you are obligated to put the sheets on the bed yourself , the ones received from the reception desk.
The location of the hostel is amazing, it is very close to the city centre and well connected to the all of the important sights of the city. The price of the accomodation is a good value for the price, breakfast is also included. The sheets are clean, floors as well as the toilets and showers. It is not hard to reach the hostel from the airport. There are lots of convenience stores near the hostel. Vodka is exeptional and strongly reccomended to try. Weather wasn't cold for this part of the year. Auschwitz and Wieliczka are the place you must see and experience. The hostel itself is really warm, heating works quite good.
