My stay was absolutely perfect! Hostel was comfortable and social but no pressure to be social if you weren’t feeling like it. Breakfast was simple but good. Kitchen was small, only person could really use it at a time but for me that was fine. Location was 15 minute bus journey from centre of Zakopane which for some people may not be ideal however the shuttle to Moskie oko ran just outside the hostel and you could also cross the road to start different hiking trails. I’d say the best hostel I have stayed at, especially in Europe!

i guess some things were amiss during my check-in but the staff were quick with responding to my concerns

free breakfast every morning is awesome! they have events every night making the place more lively. although the location is a bit far from the center and accessing it needs a bit of a hike from the main street (where the bus is, super close too!) with some construction in the way, but it was close to where I needed to be so good enough!

Absolutely the lovely and cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at. From the building, the art, the vibe, the people. Incredible. 10 minutes walk to bus stop and 15 more minutes walk to ski centre in winter time.

Rarely the heater in the bedroom downed the temperature. But it was ok.

The place it's amazing inside the tress, close to the bus station and walking to the place to ski for beginners even to do hiking. The staff are friendly and good to share with the other travelers. And the cute cats make it special too.

To be honest, there's nothing I don't like about this stay. Staff is so welcoming and helpful anytime. The rooms and living room are so cozy and warm. Sometimes people cook and share food together. Also I made many friends here. Very good place to open yourself and connect with people from all over the world. I will definitely visit again. Don't hesitate to book!

A cozy home the woods. Happy staff , nice breakfast and amazing scenery. The location is a bit outside from the center , but you can reach easily by bus or you can walk and enjoy the views.

Best hostel ever. Staff are so welcoming and nice, they have cultivated a really friendly atmosphere in the hostel. A really cozy and homy common room for everyone to hangout. Nice breakfast and drinks. This is the kind of hostel that is too good and you will want to come back.

The staff was welcoming and open! Some days have events scheduled (movie night for example) that they try to include the guests. the other hostel guests and volunteers are also friendly and open and provide pointers of where to go/what to do in Zakopane. The bunk beds were surprisingly comfortable.

GLB hostel is a completely different place! It’s authentic, clean nice and cool. But what’s more outstanding about it is the people. I have never had so much fun with my neighbours! Very diverse and kind, open-minded people there. Big thumbs up!

The last part of a road going to the hostel seems to lack some light. If you happen to check in at night please bring your flashlight.

Not my first time in GBL and I like all of it - great location, by the buses to Morskie oko, by the entry to the TNP, by the nice old chapel. Helpful staff, interesting guests, amazing parties ;) I came so tired from long hike and directly on pasta night - it was very tasty dinner for free!
