Very comfortable hostel with a nice common area and very friendly and helpful hostel staff. It's a perfect place to connect with other travelers. The breakfast is basic but has everything needed. The location is a bit out of town but perfect to start hikes.

It was my third time I've stayed in this hostel and as always I wasn't disappointed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The best thing about the hostel is the people. Had so much fun with the volunteers and other guests that it was sad to leave. The location is amazing too. Definitely will come back.

As the building is rather old, the doors are a bit noisy and there are not so many bathrooms. However, as everyone was very respectful and considerate, this didn't cause any issues.

The wooded house is situated in the middle of the woods and you feel at home the moment you drive up to this place. The hostel has a very homey feeling: they provide sleepers/flipflops as they are shoe-free and the living room is extremely cozy with couches and blankets. The staff greatly contributes to the relaxed atmosphere as they are helpful and kind to everyone. One of my favorite hostels I have ever visited!

I think there could be a wee bit of improvements to the facilities such as ensuring every bed has a charging port because it’s super super important - a lot of the times I can’t charge my phone and devices and it was a bit of a sour spot :(

The staff made it an exceptional place to stay and I was truly sad about leaving GBL. Kudos to Thomas Maddy & Karolina - wonderful people & great vibes . Property was also very clean and cosy.

Near mountains, in the forest lane with deers and squirrels, friendly young staff, home atmosphere with cats and goat, slow breakfast in the sun, no mosquitoes, good showers and beds... :)

It was a great hostel experience. The staff was so helpful and welcoming. And the guests were open to meeting and conversation. It is a short hike up a steep hill to the hostel but worth it. The location is across the street from a trail head. It was a great experience.

I loved the staff, all so welcoming and friendly. Being a small hostel, it helps to create a nice social atmosphere which was refreshing. They made dinner one night which was really lovely, and do games night too. Fab location if you want to be across from the Tatry mountains. Would totally stay again!

However, there was one minor drawback that slightly dampened my experience. Unfortunately, the dryer in the hostel was not functional during my stay. Given the frequent rain showers that had occurred, many guests, including myself, had damp clothing and hiking gear that needed drying. It would have been immensely helpful if the dryer had been operational to address this common need, especially for those who had been out exploring the beautiful but sometimes wet surroundings

The staff members were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had during my stay. A lil bit dirty rooms, but maybe it’s not the staff problem but guests whom doesn’t watch their things getting scattered everywhere and looking slovenly :(

The most friendly staff I’ve ever seen! You can feel here like home, roommates would definitely recommend places to hike, everyone others help with the smile on the face :) The placement others the most beautiful hiking trails, easy and harder ones.

Location initially seemed a bit inconvenient but also why I chose it as didn’t want to be in town. In the end it was an excellent choice and part of the charm. So quiet and slept well. Loved it and the feeling of being in a home. Staff and facilities excellent.

Amazing location, close enough to the town of Zakopane but out of the way enough to feel like a retreat (also close by to many trails to hike the Tatra moutains. Excellent value for money with free breakfeast and the staff are laid back but responsive, which creates a realy nice atmosphere.

What's not to love? (I'd give a 10 but something really magical would have to happen for that)

Great atmosphere, lovely and cosy with great access to the national park. Free breakfast buffet was a large bonus! Staff were super helpful with regards to info about the trails etc... Amazing hub to meet like-minded people away from the hustle and bustle of the city, would recommend a million times over for anyone interested in an experience facilitating an escape from the city allowing one to get reacquainted with nature. Also very pleased with the locker space, really helps with keeping things organised etc.
