Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

my neighbors, but it was only problem with people, you cant be sure about this.
I was here one, i need only bed for nigt but this place was nice and clean, just only neighbors in my room was not quite, but this is not problem from owner, it problem from people. Also very nice location, very close to old city and main museum. Owner was very good and nice, she send me message with very detailed explaining.

I have been 4 days there. The last day I covered the quilt and I felt an itch on my arms, then I found that my arm was full of rash. Maybe the bed should be changed every day, but if you stay for a long time, they might not change it every day. But it should be disinfect every day!
It has a really good location and the guests were very friendly. The environment is really good too.

I can't think of anything, but a bigger outside area would have been great.
I loved the location, it wasn'too far from the Old Town, everything is easily accesible. For my first hostel, it was really good. I also got to meet some really nice guests, all thanks to Lemon Tree

Too many people stayed in this small hostel while being sick and this may spread infections to other clients. There should be a check up of clients health at entrance before sharing a small hostel room with many other people.
Location is great, at walking distance to many restaurants, shops, trams, bus stops and the old town. Beds are comfortable for individual sleep.

The bed is squeaky every time I turned!
Location of the hostel is perfect, 15min walk to old town. There is a bus station nearby to take night bus to the KRK airport. I was quite concern in the beginning that all the guests plus the owner couple, total 18 people in max. sharing the 1 bathroom and there is another separate toilet. However all guests were quite corporative keeping to the house rule of 10min time limit, some how it went well. I stayed for 7 nights and didn't encounter any queue at all. The lady host kept the bathroom and toilet clean, also had been kind to change the bed sheet for me during my stay. For the lower bunk bed, there is a curtain so that you have choose to have private space when needed. The female room has the lockers inside the room which is quite convenient.

Wifi could have been better
Check-in was easy, and the hostel was very accommodating. They even helped me post something I forgot there.

I think they have long term renters in the rooms which feels a bit odd.
That it looked super nice, especially for the price.

It is an apartment converted into hostel. 2 rooms, 8 beds in each, one shower for all. On the top of this, there are guests of owners. In the morning I was in rush to the airport and I spent almost 30min waiting to access the shower as the permanent resident was there. Then she went to the kitchen, closing the door and putting Ukrainian news on. It was 6:30am, when everyone was sleeping. At the moment, its a home for long term residents, Ukrainians. I don´t mind this, but I was not aware of that fact at all. I slept maybe 3h in total, as there was noise in the corridor, then someone had been checked in at 2:30am! and she entered the room, keeping the door opened so the light from the corridor woke me up. The room is relatively small for 8 people, window was kept closed, it was quite hot, snoring guys from next room also can wake you up, even when wearing earplugs. All I wanted it was to sleep over a night with no disruption and get to the airport without the rush, but it didn´t happen. I recently spent 2 weeks in one of European hostels and had never any issue with my sleep.
It´s a place for rather short stay. Good location, close to Rynek. A lot of places to see around, also to enjoy Polish food. The price for this hostel was pennies, but I guess you get what you pay for.

WiFi signal was weak and would benefit from an upgrade. Limited shower facilities. Extending capacity would not only allow this property to compete favourably with other hostels, but to excel.
Close to trams and buses in the Old Town and the Main Square is about 10 mins away. Natalia multitasking on reception, cooking and cleaning is a really helpful and accommodating woman. Top marks for an excellent service and the fabulous cooked breakfast is served when the guest wants it. Unrestricted use of kitchen is available to guests. This place is super cheap and I feel they could charge. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hostel.

The location is quite nice, you need a 4-5 minute walk to the city center. The bathroom was very clean and it's also pretty big. The wifi was very good.
