Had a wonderful stay at the Esperanza Inn. I appreciated the warm welcome from the owner, Tyler, and his sweet dog. He and his wife really work to create a warm and inviting establishment that felt like you were visiting family. I really appreciated (and used) all of the information provided by them about the island; it was like getting insider tips that you can't get online or from a guidebook. The cooler, which was included in the room, was also invaluable on the beaches. Moreover, the location is right next to all of the restaurants and bars on the Malecon (food was amazing anywhere you went). Of course, the beds were super comfortable. Yes, the neighboring rooster likes to crow early in the morning, but the charm of the Esperanza Inn is being in a place that is rooted in its neighborhood, rather than some sterile, sanitized hotel. You may leave the room to find a tree frog on the fence or a few stray wandering horses outside the gate in the carport. I can't wait to come back and visit again!

There was some wildlife (horses, roosters) that are on the island and can sometimes be loud, but that is the entire island, not specific to this property.

Great location! The hosts are incredible! Gave us so many recommendations and even gave us a ride a few times! The rooms are nice and have AC. Would definitely recommend!!

Everything was perfect. The Inn was very cozy, well equipped, comfortable and very clean. Location was perfect, 3 min walk to many restaurants and a supermarket was right around the corner. Everyting was perfect

This is lime my fifth time staying in Vieques and I have never experienced it like this before. Suzann & Tyler’s place is amazing. You have everything you might need: (beach chairs, coolers (included in the rate), umbrellas for a fee. The room was impeccable. Even had a flat cell phone charger and for the ladies amazing products (body wash, shampoo, conditioner). Nice plush towels and; towels for the beach! They gave us great tips for watching sunrise/sunsets, where to eat, tours; everything! We really enjoyed the living room/kichen terrace and common areas (grill included). There’s also a small pool! Thank you Suzann & Tyler for making us feel so welcomed and treating us like family. We recommend 💯% and will definetely be back

There was actually nothing at all to not like, we loved having the cats all around the property, didn't get a chance to get in the pool but it looked delicious. There was a kitchen that was open 24 hours where we can leave food and what have you and have coffee in the morning at the table or on the very comfortable chairs on the terrace.... All in all it was a delightful experience 😁

Suzann and Tyler made us feel very welcome in their quaint boutique hotel. They gave us all sorts of good tips such as where to go, what to do, who to rent from. Very important, they gave us some fun time with Pebble, their puppy😁 . Our room was well-appointed, had all the comforts of home: we had ceiling fans & we had a floor fan. We had an iron, a blow dryer, a refrigerator, a beach bag with towels, and a coffee maker. We were on the second floor, apartment number 10 which was very spacious. It is actually the "family" unit with two beds. There was a great parking lot in front to park our vehicle , and the hotel was very well located, we were able walk to everything in downtown Esperanza. Highly recommend and definitely would stay there again....

The host was incredible, probably the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. Such great suggestions and tips and he really went above and beyond in making sure our stay was comfortable. The guesthouse was very walkable to the main restaurant area along the water, a grocery store, and the black sand beach. Love the grounds and the cats!

The property is truly homelike!! The rooms are really cozy, the common areas are guest friendly. Suzann and Tyler went above and beyond to make sure the check in process is smooth, and we feel really welcomed!! They were able to provide additional information about what to visit and how to get around. (including a map) We came for honeymoon and book outside of their regular date/time schedules, they didn’t cancel us but rather even provided us with a heartwarming surprise! It was raining when we arrived in Vieques, they were more worried than us so we might not have a good experience :P, but ever since meeting with them and checking in the hotel, it’s all great things that happened. the rain stopped and we were able to do all the activities that we planned to do - our good luck started from them, from their kindness and warm welcomes!
