Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

I’ve stayed at this location several times. It is one of my favorite places to stay at. It is very comfortable and zen-like. It is very well taken care of. Great place to stay at whether you are on work or leisure. Will continue to stay at this property.

United StatesThe hostel is located on a main road and it seems that every single car in Puerto Rico that has a souped up exhaust system loves driving down that way! You'll definitely get some car noise. But its not too unbearable.
The location is quiet and there is available parking down a side street. The staff are nice and it the hostel itself is quite pleasant. I had a room that had its own bathroom so that was a great perk but there are communal bathrooms and showers.

FranceThe bathroom was dirty, the toilet was constantly dirty, sticky. The shower head was rusty and they gave us wet towels. The room was very small and we didn't get blankets, when we asked they gave us airport blankets. There were no outlets in the room to charge the phones

United KingdomGot bed bug bites from mattress and the place didn’t feel clean - bathroom smelly, bins not emptied daily. Shared spaces didn’t feel great - the building is odd so were as hot as the outdoors were and main door wasn’t generally locked so there was a security risk, imo. Noise from outdoors neighbouring properties and street on account of no windows / just shutters
Nice hostel, good potential and good value, it’s on bus routes so handy for old San Juan

United StatesThere's only things here too love.
Fantastic facilities, staff and location... And amazing guests. Inexpensive via Uber to get here from the airport, and also inexpensive to get to Old San Juan. Several buses in front of the hostel also go to Old San Juan, super easy and free because currently - for more than a year apparently - the fee system is down and being renovated. If you walk out the hostel door, hang a right and walk down the hill several blocks, you'll see a Popeye's Friend Chicken place on your left, a large Farmacia (pharmacy/apteka) in front of you and on your left the Sagrado Corazon train (about a 12 minute walk) and these trains are also free. I highly recommend you take this train and go to the University of San Juan Rio Pierdas campus. It's the first university stop on this train. Beautiful campus, the largest on the island, and numerous, wonderful places to eat and drink - all incredibly inexpensive (catering to students), fun, friendly. My personal favorite is Vidys. A $10-12 plate is actually two very filling meals and everyone will help you, guide you and recommend excellent local places and events you'd never find otherwise as a tourist. In December 2017, after the Hurricanes Maria and Irma that left the island without electricity - some places went without for over a year - I lived in this area and worked as a volunteer. It was amazing then, and even more amazing today on my 2nd tour of the island for the next several weeks. You won't regret it and I'm booking my next two stays at this 1802 Hostel as soon as I send this short note.

United StatesThe All, young female staff,” had virtually no level of competency in cleaning, knowledge of amenities, where laundry was available. The refrigerators were foul smelling. The bathrooms were tiny & foul. I ended up mopping the upstairs bathroom floor. They put men and young women in both of the same bunk rooms, with no quiet hours. Sleep is very challenging, (as pheromones are stronger than the work ethic of ANY of the young “volunteer” staff.). Carlos might be the most I’ll-suited “pimp,” heretofore known to humankind. But hey, I adapted AFTER they threw me out. Aneesah, a late arriving sad story “guest,” owes for my toothpaste & her first meal. She followed me around, like a pet for 2 days, and proclaimed in front of 5 males that she would do anything for money except sex… said it so often, I told her to stop it, after I educated her about NLP, and the brain’s inability to register a negation as naturally as the noun & verb….
The other travelers. It was reasonably convenient.

United StatesThe owner is a crybaby with no control of his emotions. It was absurd finding out that he’s not a baby in a grown man’s shell. Had terrible service while cussing out multiple residents during my stay and forcing them to leave.
Good for meeting other travelers
