Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBathrooms could be kept better stocked and cleaner. I know guests can be slobs. Soap and paper products often empty. Need hooks or shelf near sink so you don’t have to place toiletries on wet sink counter. Each bed had one USB port and a lamp, but no regular electrical outlet. My bed, near the air condition, was too cold. They only give you a sheet, I guess I should have asked for a blanket. Also I had a window in my cubicle so bright light all day and night. The paper cups for tea were too small. How about coffee packets, not just tea! The furniture in the upstairs communal sitting area, upholstered, needed cleaning. How about a place to hang wet swim suits and towels? The little terrace too small.
I liked that the mattress was full size- larger than the twin size at most hostels. The security on the premises seemed good, but I did not feel very safe in the neighborhood which is under transition being modernized. It’s a short walk to a public beach. The walk to Old San Juan downtown also short but I did not feel safe, especially at night. Most girls took taxis and Ubers whenever they went out. There is a bus stop close by, a safe walk, but the buses are very unreliable. You can usually find share ride scooters not far away also as a popular transport option. There is a filtered water, tea station, microwave and refrigerator in the lobby. (No coffee) The room air conditioner kept the room dry and cool, comfortable sleeping temperature. Staff was friendly. The lockers were a good size and they provided padlocks. There was a trash can in each room but sadly some guests left trash and the daily cleaners wouldn’t always remove it (understandable).

United StatesI’m a light sleeper and chose the 8 person room. No notes on the hostel but in the future I now know to opt for a room with less people and/or my own space. People were in and out through the night and since my bed was by the door I woke up often. Just an FYA for light sleepers.
Convenient location to airport, you still need a car but it’s about 10min drive away. Check in was easy, they held my luggage because I arrived earlier than check in. Showers have hot water (bring sandals). Everything was as anticipated and a good place for a short stay or for a traveler who will be in and out (not in need for privacy/comfort).

GermanyI loved everything, this is a reminder for the lady guests: why are women soooo dirty and messy? Clean up after yourself, dont leave your hair behind, if it says dont flush toilet paper then dont do it… really basic things ladies! Men might have stinky feet but darn it, women are pigs sometimes. Bring your manners! Staff is trying hard to maintain everything clean, but some ladies need a baby sitter!
Wañking distance from old town, ocean 2 corners away, airport bus a corner away… reaaaly nice place, one of the best hostels ive been to! Efficiently run and organised, lots of amenities, incl storage and lockers, towel, etc.

United StatesMy stay was good, the staff were friendly, and the place was clean. There is also access to a co-working space next door, and there is a small mini mart across the street, as well as restaurants and cafes within walking distance. There is a paid parking lot available and also free street parking if you're lucky. And it is only about a 20 min walk to the port and the entrance to Old San Juan.

NetherlandsIt’s freezing in the room. They wouldn’t change the AC and you had to buy blankets instead. They’ll charge you every day for it. So bring something warm! No place to hang your wet clothes/towels.
Location was perfect. Everything was clean and nice. Nice staff.

CanadaFor the price I paid, nothing could have been better. It was excellent.
The staff is very good and provides lots of information about the surrounding area, sights to see, where to buy groceries, about restaurants, etc. VERY helpful. The rooms are airy and beds are spacious with good darkening curtains around them for privacy. A few doors down the street is a co-working place that seems to be part of the hostel - spacious and airy with good AC and a great coffee machine that produces free coffee. Inside the hostel, bathrooms, showers, toilets, etc. are enough for the number of residents and good and clean. Also ample room for resting, using internet, etc. Really agreeable stay!

United StatesThe only notes I will give is that they could stock coffee packets with the tea and maybe get a small toaster. Also, to let everyone know to bring a blanket and towel as they’re only provided for a fee.
This is a well run, organized, clean hostel. It’s just outside Old San Juan, near the public bus and a short uber ride to everything. The staff is friendly. The beds are actually full sized! And with the curtains it was like having your own room.

SwedenThe common areas to sit down and chat - have a coffee was rather limited. Maybe a roof top place could be solution
The can do approach. The ‘office space’ next door was great - have you a chance to work digitally.

CanadaNot a lot of places and open hours of restaurants near by. You have to go to Old San Juan to eat a real meal of make a grocery in Old San Juan also but there is no kitchen at the hostel, only a two little fridges that all the guests can out something in it. No coffee in the morning but you have access to hot water and fresh water 24 hours.
Very safe and in a neighborhood where everybody know each other. The double bunk bed is very comfortable and it is quiet during the night. No window in the room so you can sleep in the morning as long as you want. Very clean, AC in the room, staff is friendly, booking easy and check in at 3am was super easy.

United StatesThey don’t provide blankets, and the rooms can get quite cold—having a blanket is necessary. While the mattresses were good, they had a plastic cover under the sheets, which made them noisy and caused me to sweat
Clean, comfortable, and well-equipped! The double-sized bunk beds, large lockers (with locks), and convenient parking right behind the entrance were perfect. The staff, especially the friendly receptionist, were kind and helpful.
