Be prepared for the stairs. Our room was on the 3rd floor and one must go thru the lobby, thru a door, down some steps and then up 3 flights of steps. Being older travelers this was a bit of a challenge.

Much different than we expected from a Hostel. We had our own room and private bath for which I paid more but it was a nice place to stay. Very efficiently designed and quite comfortable. We were right next to the kitchen / outdoor patio which had both good and bad points. Room was clean. Felt very secure at this property. We parked our rental car on the street and experienced no issues. Beach was close. Located in a neighborhood with busses available to get around San Juan without being in the middle of San Juan. The property itself has all kinds of things that travelers might need - sun lotion, etc. I would definitely return here to stay again.

There’s almost no personnel around in this hostel, no one at the reception, even during day times. And they respond barely to the Whatsapp numbers neither. Our room was leaking, we asked for a solution, but we didn’t get any help or solution. We slept in a room leaking water for 5 nights. They accidently gave us the wrong code for entry in Whatsapp. When we arrived we couldn’t get in and there was no one responding. Finally we found another entry code via Booking app, but not a nice experience. Moreover, there is a total lack of atmosphere. Having seen many hostels all over the world, this must have been the worst price-quality.

I saw the receptionist once. It felt like no one was there. But that wasn’t really a problem. I’m just not used to that, but whatever. I’d definitely come back to Nomad.

Close to the airport, the beach and food and drink. Facilities are very clean. The AC is amazing. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

if you are searching for a hostel where you can easily connect with people this is not the place you should go. You’re pretty much isolated from the group, if there even is a group cause you pretty much never see anyone hanging out. the staff is alright but I didn’t had the feeling that she was into connecting people rather than doing her thing. our Uber driver kindly asked if he could go to the toilet for a split second before driving us around for 1,5h and the staff didn’t let him in even though the toilets were on the same floor and literally no one was there anyways. I think that’s a bit cold hearted and I would not go back there. it’s okay to go there if you want to be alone but for you’re first nights in San Juan I’d recommend going for another hostel.

My sheets were dirty. The location is further away from the main points in the city than I thought. There's a wind chime next to the room on the second floor that kept waking me up.

The facilities were clean, the restrooms offer enough privacy.

There’s a bar next door that’s not too busy but blasts their music till 2 am, if you stay out late no worries. If you’re a grandpa it makes sleeping difficult

The location was good! Definitely recommend a rental car from here to pop into old san juan or around the island. The wifi works well and the codes for check in on the door were super user friendly. There’s a hangout section on the first floor that made planning the next day fun instead of being stuck in the small room.

I didn’t feel safe in this area, beds not that comfortable, it’s very noisy area you hear music from the club. I couldn’t sleep well.

If I consider that is a hostel it was clean.
