Very good. Very clean. A nice bonus were the little things that can be necessary and useful. Cosmetics, books, beach umbrella for free. Coffee, drinks for a nominal fee. Excellent location. We were very pleased. The price-quality ratio is fully consistent. The owner sent an email with recommendations on places to shop and dine within walking distance. It was very nice.

Almost nothing! But I think in hot summer the fan wont be enough!

I think Rui is one of the Best who runs hotels! His kindness made our stay easier than we thought he’s supporting whenever we asked for something! It was excellent experience!

Rui was a wonderful host, greeted us by name, and was very welcoming. Gave us some great info on things to see around Faro. The hostel is in a great spot, clean, comfy, and plenty of space to chill and relax.

During our stay, my daughter unexpectedly fell ill, and Rui went above and beyond to assist us in ways that I would never have expected. His genuine care and concern for our well-being turned a stressful situation into something much more manageable. The accommodation itself was wonderful—clean, comfortable, and well-located—but it’s Rui’s kindness and attentiveness that truly made our stay unforgettable. The kitchen area is cleaned every day, and had most things you need. Just the one ceramic hob, so if there were lots wanting to cook, I can imagine it would be a bit crowded.

Very clean, good security, in renovated town house. Rui, the owner, was really helpful and communicative. Comfortable beds, clean sheets and nice white towels. Bathroom was compact, clean and everything worked.

It was not in the center exactly but you could walk there in a few minutes and it was close to all amenities, including laundromats. But everything else was perfect.

The rooms and all the hostel were flawless, super clean and very cosy architecture with beautiful tiles. Rui the owner is very nice and helpful and taking good care to make everyone feel welcome. The room was spacious and had shelves, rack, a mirror, and all the basic facilities to feel at home. There was a kitchen where we could cook, have breakfast and prepare sandwiches. There was a big backyard with a table, perfect to hang out or have dinner. There was also a common area with a couch that we did't use much. The private toilet is flawless, very comfortable. We felt like home!

Good location on quiet street about 5 mins walk from town center, host was very communicative, friendly and flexible, place was very clean and comfortable, if you needed anything, like clothes line to dry you stuff, sunscreen, parasol or fan in room, it was there or easily provided by Rui. Nothing not to like.

The most wonderful host and the loveliest place we could have wished for! Rui (the host) is the most welcoming, sweet, helpful and positive person, who provides his guests with everything (literally everything), they can possibly need. If we brought nothing with us - we would be perfectly fine. Make-up remover, cotton pads, lotions, sun screens, toothpaste, beach umbreallas, and tons of other things. Also - fully stocked fridge with water, beer, chocolate milk, chocolate bars... The room was large, fresh, lovely, the bathroom super clean. I could write much more about this great place, but I'm not sure how much space I'm allowed here. We didn't want to leave. My daughter and I loved every bit of our stay there. Nothing. Everythings great!

It has a space outside to chill and kitchen to use whenever needed. The place is also central near everything like the supermarket. Close to the ferry to go to the beach too.

I had a great stay at Hostel Árvore, it was clean and everything one needs was there, including a little kitchen with coffee machine and some snacks. I felt safe as an alone travelling woman. The city centre and the harbour was easy reachable by foot.

Room was smart, clean, cosy, the kitchen and bathroom both fine, had everything you'd need, a good honesty box system for beer, coffee etc, a nice terrace to sit out and relax, eat and drink. I came with my 6 year old daughter and we enjoyed, no issues.

What was not to like.?

I loved the hostel. It was exceptionally clean. Very comfortable. Well appointed. It has a lovely kitchen and dining room. Also a relaxing outdoor terrace. The owner ,Rui , was a most helpful host. He even provided back medication for a pulled muscle. He also took the time and trouble to ease a potential problem at the airport.Our sincere thanks to Rui. My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay. We will be back to Hostel A Casa da Arvore.
