Great location in central Funchal made it easy to explore the city. The room was spacious and comfortable with a view over the city. From our room, we enjoyed listening to the live music from the square below. It was generally quiet at night considering the location. The breakfast buffet was excellent and staff were helpful

On weekend nights, some voices from the streets reached the room (the flipside of being central and having restaurants nearby), but it did not last long.

It is a central hotel in the old town with plenty of restaurants just next to it—all modern facilities (but I had no time to enjoy the roof pool, etc.). The breakfast was luxurious.

Our room was fine as it was facing the back of the hotel but some other guests complained of being kept awake by the bar/club downstairs (at the front of the building) as it opens until 4am on weekends.....

The breakfast was excellent! Such a huge choice. We also really liked the rooftop pool area and bar. The room was spacious enough for two of us with a lovely modern bathroom and shower. Good facilities in the room as well. Staff were always extremely friendly and helpful.

Great location and beautiful interior with lots of comfortable chairs, interesting books. I liked the complimentary coffee and water in the lobby. The welcome drink was tops thanks!

Property is fantastically situated with views to the ocean and our balcony had views over a lively street which often had lovely music until around 10pm which was great to listen to/see. The staff were excellent and attentive in all areas of the hotel, particularly the guy who worked on the rooftop bar! The breakfast had excellent choices and was well served. My husbands birthday fell during our stay and the hotel provided a birthday surprise - which was fantastic!

No parking on-site - there is a car park a 10-min walk away, which was fine, but it was even difficult to pull up in front of the hotel to load/unload cases. Better communication from the hotel on this would have been appreciated

Fantastic location, helpful staff and incredible rooftop terrace + pool with amazing views. The rooms were extremely comfortable (we loved the ‘pillow menu’ - I need to track down their pillows, which were insanely comfortable) and they added lots of nice touches to make it extra special (including chocolates which led to us tracking down the shop (Uau cocoa) to stock up!). Also a modern, well-equipped gym and wonderful restaurant

A perfect location, with a roof terrace/bar overlooking the city and sea. Our room was perfect, it overlooked a pedestrian area of restaurants, which is nice and buzzy.

The attention to detail. The staff noticed from my passport it was my birthday on the day of our arrival so they sent a birthday cake and bottle of fizz to the room. The staff were extremely friendly and the hotel is immaculate.

A little bit of noise echoed into the room but not enough to be an issue. Parking the rental car was somewhat of a challenge.

Location and breakfast make this hotel stand out, along with the fantastic courteous service. The shower and bed were both extremely comfortable.

We stayed at the hotel for 8 days. Excellent location near the port at sea level. The room was big with a great shower and comfortable beds. I have never slept so well in a hotel before. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend 👌 Thank you
