NetherlandsThe room and especially the bathroom felt dated and could use a good make-over to bring it more up-to-date with modern expectations. Reception staff friendliness was a bit hit-or-miss. Overall it was a good choice for a one-night stay.
The hotel is in an ideal location if you plan to arrive or depart by boat, as the ferry terminal with services to Faial and São Jorge is right across the street. We arrived in the early morning from São Jorge and left the next morning for Horta. Other locations like restaurants and car rental locations are also within easy walking distance. We were able to store our luggage after arriving early. The room itself was fine, decently sized with a balcony and a well-functioning air-conditioning. The breakfast was large with many different options, but was a bit hectic overall. There is also a pool, though due to time constraints we were unable to use it.

Portugalearly check-in was only at 1600. I find it too late as many come with ferry and then have to wait to check-in. I recommend that you allowed to pre-check-in and at least you can then go to the bar at the pool side and wait for 1600.
I liked that the rooms where clean and did not smell of damp as the islands have a problem of damp due to the weather and sea. I also liked that the bathroom was well stocked is toiletries and clean.
