Absolutely stunning place and location. I didn’t take a lot of pictures inside but you will fall in love with the charming interior. The room was very comfortable and the private bathroom was clean with beautiful aesthetics. I was here for one night only and so did not make use of the outdoor space but it looked so zen. This place is located so close to the beach and view points and so if it’s available snap it up, don’t think twice!

The room was relatively small and there was little storage or shelf space. Since many hikers probably spend the night here, it would be quite practical if you would have a small cupboard/shelf or at least a few more hooks. When the weather is good there are plenty of outdoor options and a clothesline, but when the weather is bad that's definitely a point.

We had a room directly behind the reception on the left. In the room itself there is only the bed and an armchair and a few hooks to hang something up. The bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin is external at the back of the corridor, but we knew this beforehand. The room, the bathroom and the communal and outdoor areas of the accommodation were lovingly furnished and very clean. The contact with the host and the check-in and check-out were very friendly and uncomplicated. We were also allowed to dry our clothes in the outdoor area after check-out and leave our luggage until we left. The location is perfect for going to the beach. We hiked on the fisherman's path and the hiking trail (Zambujeira do Mar - Odeceixe stage) passes by here, but most hikers continue on to the center of Odeceixe. We found the location here right by the sea much nicer and you certainly won't get bored for 1 or 2 nights. If you arrive in the (early) afternoon, you can easily cross the river on the beach (water up to the knee), then you do not have to walk to Odeceixe and back to Praia de Odeceixe. There is a very good restaurant (local fish, delicious wine) and an equally good snack bar above the beach (sandwiches, burgers, breakfast options), both places are 1 minute away from the accommodation. It takes about 40 minutes to walk to Odeceixe, about 7 minutes by taxi, and there should also be a bus in the summer (currently no public transport options). From Odeceixe you can take the bus to many directions, such as Lagos, Albufeira and Lisbon. Very good value for money, especially when you consider that many hikers only stay one night and the rooms constantly have to be completely renovated. Clear recommendation, we would stay here again :)

Room had a window into the courtyard...basically opposite the shared bathrooms. Wasn't ideal but guess can't be helped. It is just the layout of this authentic old beachhouse.

Wonderful hosts, excellent location by the sea. Small guesthouse with really cute touches. Towels etc to use, well equipped kitchen. Approx.45min walk to Odeceixe and busstop.

Cláudia received us as the first guests for the beginning of the new season so we were the only two guests for the night. We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome from her! The whole place is absolutely lovely, clean and inviting and also very thoughtful decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and more. Cláudia even prepared a cake for us! I really can't begin to describe how special the whole stay was for us. I'll include some pictures so you can see for yourselves.

Fantastic location, just up the hill from the beach. We did the Fisherman’s trail hike and opted to stay out at the beach rather than in the town. Good decision, it’s a beautiful beach area. The house is very nicely presented and decorated. We would have liked to have stayed for a few more days!
