There was a smelly cigarette bit in the ash tray on the terrace, a hair in the cupboard and the water was not hot, barely warm (the receptionist changed the gas and hot water appeared, but ypu have to be patient until it appears). The ceiling lamp in the bathroom didn't give light at all, the only light is a small lamp above the mirror.

The location is good, close to everything, walking distance. Comfortable bed, room cleaning service everyday. Good WiFi connection, fridge, coffee machine, microwave oven, no breakfast, but complimentary basket with some coffee capsules, milk, juice, marmelade, butter, rolls,etc. The room has a terrace and atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant.

Shutters where very good at making the room dark and quiet. Also the host WhatsApped me with all the info to get into the property as I would be arriving late, that was really helpful.

The only thing that let the hotel down (and only slightly) was the lack of a hot breakfast the day I stayed there. Not sure of that is usual as I stayed in off-season. But there was lots of other cold choices and great fruit.

Loved the location and the building…both fabulous. The rooms were large and exceptionally comfortable. Staff attention was excellent and the showers were great.

I arrived a bit later than expected, but I was welcomed with a smile, quiet efficiency, and a nice bun and some grapes (obrigado Bruna)! Most kind. The room was exceptionally clean, with a little basket of breads, coffee, teas, honey, etc. The value of my stay was exceptional.

Location was in a residential more modern area. Would have preferred old city but I booked quite late and long weekend restricted choice. Stayed in the ground floor to avoid stairs but from the road to the entrance is quite steep on tiles which are slippery when raining but no handrail so had to use stairs. Not a worry for most people though.

Large light room with large windows and private balcony, large double bed, fridge, well stocked tea/coffee. Code for entry worked well.

The shower drain wasn't draining. That is really the only problem we had.

We were greeted by the owner of the hotel. He was very nice and extended his hospitality to sitting on the covered veranda where we had a nice drink and met some local friends of his. A restaurant within walking distance was suggested to us and we really enjoyed the meal! Although parking is not specifically offered, as there was a space available in the driveway, the owner allowed us to use it. In general, the hotel was quiet, comfortable, and a good place to stay.

The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was a short walk to the center and to the bus and train stations. Staff was helpful and pleasant. There was a small refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee maker in the room, as well as a basket of snacks.

We couldn’t really find anything to fault, it had everything we needed and was in a great location. The outside courtyard with comfy chairs was the perfect place to relax in the evening.
