nice superfriendly staff, they even advised about the summer time change and gave me a wakeup notice so I wouldn't miss my flight! Central location, quiet but close to party street and seafront area. Restaurants & public transport nearby.

Reading the negative reviews before my visit about unfriendly staff, no warm water in the showers, and bed bugs in September - I can confirm that the only thing I experienced was that there was no warm water in the showers and thus it was extremely cold to take a shower. Especially visiting in February. Overall the place is a bit rough around the edges but the most important things such as bed linen and toilet looked clean to me - definitely not the place for the neatest ones though. I was worrying a bit about bed bugs but I experienced no such thing. Yes the staircase make a lot of noise but earplugs help! The staff was nice but could have made even more of an effort to engage with the guests.

I liked the beautiful common spaces and the fact that breakfast was included in the prize. The breakfast is simple for sure, but I wouldn’t expect more from staying at a hostel - in my opinion it was a big plus! I liked that there were women only sleeping dorms considering it was my first time solo travelling and my room had everything I needed - space to lock in my stuff, bed curtains and the possibility to charge my phone in the bed. The location of the hostel is really nice too!

Private bathroom was very small with a blowdryer that hardly functioned.

The rooftop had amazing views especially on NYE with fireworks! It was a good location. The community areas and bathrooms were very clean. The staff was very communicative when we left behind an item.

This historical property is beautiful! The bathrooms were extremely clean. The location was great and the rooftop view was spectacular especially for viewing NYE fireworks! Highly recommend.

I was underwhelmed by the breakfast options. While all the served food was excellent, the options were extremely limited. I was surprised by lack of eggs.

The bathrooms could have been a better experience as far as storing our products; having more shelves or just surfaces to place our things would have been so useful. I also didn't like that the beds only came with a thin sheet and wrinkled up pillow. It also would have been nice to have more private storage in the bedrooms or if the lockers were slightly larger. Also, late at night, the streets were so noisy with people singing and shouting obnoxiously but i know that's out of the hostel's control.

I loved the communal spaces. My favorite thing to do was have a coffee on the beautiful terrace in the morning and overlook the view. My second favorite space was the living room; I'd grab my food delivery late at night and work on my laptop there.

It would be nice to have a curtain that provides privacy/blocks the light. It was difficult to sleep because of this. The sockets were hanging - not fixed on the bed and they are shared.

Location was exceptional. I could walk everywhere. It has several rest areas to hang out or work. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were big. It offers a nice breakfast.

The helpfulness of the staff at arrival and departure was a bonus for me after a stressful day. The safety and the peace of the facility helped launch my walking trip on the Portuguese Camino. I was off to a good start!

From my opinion, the sleeping facilities need improvement. The beds are quite old and the pillows need to be changed. Also the bathrooms are not the cleanest unfortunately.

The location was very good and nice to walk around. Also the breakfast and living room facilities were quite nice.

The bathrooms could be a cleaner, but then again its a Hostel and we backpackers could behave a lot better as Well, we are all grown up and how some pp leave a shared room behind is just a shame, im realy Sorry for the Staff.

Nice old building very central in the City, Lots of Bars and Restaurants wich you can reach by feet, a market for fresh food very close by as Well. Unfortunatly on the second day i had two pp in the room wich snorred so loud that i couldnt sleep at all, changin the room wasnt possible cause of the fully booked Hostel. NOT the hostels fault, just unluck, still sucked. However the breakfast aint special but it does the Job, for whoever lookes for more, there are pleanty of nice place close by. Staff are friendly, just a little uninspired by what to Do or to give advices where to go. In total Balance i would give this 7 out of 10 and would come again, aint there fault i had Bad luck.

Nothing that the hostal can change, but I know that I am not much a an airco type. I would much more prefer to have the windows open at night.

the location of the hostal is wonderful!!! I loved watching sunsets from the terrace, breakfast and common areas are nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience, thank you!!!
