Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Remote access is easy, and the Host gave me excellent support by calling on the phone to make sure i was comfortable with the all details of getting in to the apartment, which was very reassuring. The quality of the bed is excellent! Will probably stay again if they keep the price competitive.

The own was very friendly and keen to provide all shorts of information. The property is ideally located for food ball fans. It is a few hundred meters away from the benfica stadium! It is also close to the metro so it is a good option if you want to avoid the high costs of accommodation at the city centre.

Access to the flat is remotely controlled, we had to communicate via messaging to get access, instructions, etc. Once we navigated that things went smoother. The apartment is definitely more inviting from the inside compared to the outside of the building. Access to the garage is from a different street with a fob to open the door, which is NOT well marked. Also, the fob battery may be weak as I had to get out of the car and near the door for it to work.
The location is fine, we were there 1 night and it was not too busy. The room was clean, small but comfortable. For a small unit it had reasonable storage space in a closet.

If you are late the front door of the building is closed. You have to ring somebody hoping to open the door. Easy to hear other guests.
Very clean, next to metro and busstation, commom kitchen.

All good. If I was being picky then the doors didn't fit well so noisy when going from the room to the toilet but other than that it was good
Good location close to the metro although a fair distance from the centre. Good communication from the host. Clean room and facilities. Across the road from a large shopping centre which was helpful.

hard shower towels, the bathroom lights go off while in the shower, washing machine is not for us to use even though it is listed on booking.

From the minuses: audibility. You can hear everything that happens in other rooms: conversations, tv, gathering and so on. For me it was not critical, but for a longer rental, can cause discomfort
Very clean everywhere. Great and super comfortable bed, which is very important to me. Conveniently the kitchen has everything you need to cook (but I’ve used it). It was easy to check in and all the staff are very polite and helping
