Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The staff, especially Maria and Katya were wonderful and warm, gave great recommendations and took care of everything I asked,, thank you! There was a good atmosphere in the place. Laundry price was fair - 1 euro, the mattresses were comfortable. There is public public transportation and a supermarket nearby.

The property is very nice and comfortable. All very clean and organized. The breakfast is very nice, the staff was amazing. And the location is great!

I accumulated quite a few mosquito bites over the course of my stay. But that was the only thing I disliked (and it was that time of the year).
Loved everything, from the location, aesthetic, staff and breakfast. 10/10 would recommend to my friends without thinking twice.

Super friendly staff, you can feel that they do love their jobs and they are always helpful. Super location - just in the entrance of the LX Factory area where you'll get all the bars and restaurants. My bed is close to the window but I don't feel noisy nor I am annoyed by the sound outside.

Lovely people and great infrastructure to get to know new people. Especially during breakfasts and the free sangria evenings. Very helpful with all questions as well.

everything was perfect! the location with all te restaurants downstairs, a lot of space in your individual “bunker”, the rooftop bar is super fun, hostel is super clean, staff is always there to help you and have a chat with you. felt super safe as a female solo traveler, 10/10

It’s a little far out of the center. Nice the be in Lx Factory but otherwise it’s a long walk, public transport, or a taxi to the center of Lisbon
The staff was very friendly, everything was very clean, the kitchen was nice and well stocked for cooking, and the sangria hour was such a nice touch!

Located too far from city sites to walk. However, Uber rides are around 5 euro each way and the pickup was under 5 minutes every time.
The Hostel is surrounded by great restaurants and bars. Excellent rooftop bar in the Hostel as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Lisbon!

i booked women dorm first and then had one more night in the mixed dorm which i found much more comfortable, bigger and will next time book it for sure
i just loved the place, the stuff was super nice (special thank to Catia she is just so lovely and passionate of what she is doing). Next time i’m in Portugal i will for sure come to Lisbon for 1 night just to stay there and enjoy the roof top bar ❤️

MY ONLY SUGGESTION IS TO PROVIDE THE HOSTEL WITH A WEIGHT SCALE FOR BAGS SO YOU CAN WEIGHT THEM BEFORE A FLIGHT BUT OVERALL IT WAS GREAT.
IT HAS BEEN A GREAT STAY AND SERVICE. IT WAS TOP THE HELP WITH MY LUGGAGE AS THEY OFFERED TO KEEP IT FOR SOME DAYS UNTIL I CAME BACK, REALLY SATISFIED WITH THAT.

The lockers were a little finicky to open, but it was not a big deal.
I had a wonderful stay here. I was only there for one day/night and had to leave early for a flight the next morning. The woman who checked me in was so friendly and offered to put my breakfast aside so I could have it in the morning, which was very appreciated! My birthday was the next day so she also gave me a little wine bottle and left me a post-it with my breakfast :) There was free sangria in the evening, which was a nice way to talk to some of the other hostel guests. I also thought the bed was surprisingly comfortable and appreciated the privacy curtain and space for belongings.

The fact you had to pay extra for towels. most expensive hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Let us bring the bikes up but not without us begging. A small 2m by 1.5m section in the corner of the main room could easily be cordoned off for bicycle storage

that you had to take public transport to get to the centre, which makes the trip more expensive... But I knew that and it also had its benefits.
I really loved the breakfast. You could make pancakes and eggs yourself. Eat it on the rooftop in the sunshine. Very nice! I loved the beds and the privacy. I loved the location as well.
