Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryWalls are thin, noises can be heard from others. The room is small, the bathroom is tiny, you cannot put your clothes anywhere when you're showering. There's a cheap plastic curtain on the shower which does not protect the bathroom to get wet so the floow will be very slippery all night but it does prevent you from having a great shower as it sticks to you when showering. To get in we didn't get information. Keys have to be collected from the staff working in the opposite café, they don't speak English so communication is a little complicated. The rooms are on the 5th floor. There's an elevator but it's super slow and it breaks down every day so it's not very reliable to use so it. In the kitchen there's only 1 small table so only people from 1 room can have breakfast there.
Great location, the metro station is about 6-8 minutes walk away, the center can be reached within 20 minutes of walking. Great view from the 5th floor, the room and bathrooms are clean, kitchen is well-equipped with plates, knives, a stovepot, microwave, kettle. There's no oven. There's even a background teracce for extra people to have breakfast/dinner with great views. Staff is helpful and kind, the room is great for a few nights to stay.

FranceThe shower wasn't working, we couldn't get a normal temperatures for the water, we get else really cold water, else really really hot water. The way to pick up the keys wasn't clear and wasn't welcoming. We had to come in a coffee and ask the staff for the key but as it's not their main job, we had to wait at least 10 min before we could get the keys and moreover nobody from the staff was speaking English so we couldn't communicate with them.
It was the same as the pictures, well equipped, not noisy and comfortable.

GermanyIt's not really a big issue, but our room + bathroom was just under the roof, the ceiling was inclined, which made showering a bit uncomfortable. There was another bathroom though. we could have maybe used that one too. The kitchen didn't have much except salt, pepper and oregano. Not an issue either, but some basic supplies like oil would have been nice.
The apartment was clean and new (unlike the rest of the building). The location was close to buses and metro.

United KingdomUnwelcoming check in at cafe. Made to feel like I was an inconvenience to them. Not a good way to treat guests in my humble opinion and a rarity in Portugal which is usually very hospitable. Incredibly slow lift that I didn’t trust at all( Took stairs after one ride!) However the stairs are somewhat in need of renovation and other floor landings a bit of a dumping ground for residents. Communal Shower right next to head of bed in my room. I would consider moving bed to a different wall opposite balcony. I appreciate it’s a new accommodation and hosts are still learning and some of these conditions are outwith their control. I wish them well
Comfy bed, cute little balcony, good facilities, good central location, good renovation of upper floor, Quiet side road location. Peaceful

AustraliaSlow elevator or 5 flights of stairs to get to top floor. Bathrooms were small particularly the showers (one was super skinny and the other had a chest high shower head on an angled roof).
Plenty of space in room. All the essentials provided. 2 shared bathrooms for 4 rooms. Decent kitchen with cooking utensils. Check-in at cafe was smooth. Pretty easy walk to metro station

RomaniaThe attic is split into two apartments, each has this layout. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen. - 1 double room with a balcony that faces the courtyard, and is next to the bathroom and kitchen (with potential noise from those areas). - 1 double room that doesn't have a sloped celing and where you can't see a window in the pictures, that has no window. - 1 double room with window facing a quiet street. - 1 quadruple room, in which one of the rooms doesn't have a window and the other faces a quiet street.

Czech RepublicI was a bit disappointed tbh, the apartment looked great on the photos, but the reality was not so good. The check in was very chaotic, there is no reception and you have to pick up keys in the near cafe, which would have been ok, but the staff working at the cafe did not speak a word of english. There was another couple checking in at the same time and the whole process was very confusing and it took about 30 minutes for us to get the room. The apartment itself looked nice and clean, but it was very cold and there was no heating in the room (just ac) and no windows, which we did not know when we reserved the room. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, but the bathroom was very impractical, especially the shower, it was so small I couldnt even properly stand there and after 2 minutes the water was changing every 10 seconds from boiling hot to ice cold and back. The shower curtain also did not work, hence there was water everywhere after the showering. We stayed only for one night but I wouldnt want to be there for a longer period of time. Also the neighborhood was very sketchy, lots of homeless people, trash everywhere and random wierd looking guys standing on the sidewalk, it really did not feel safe at all.
It was good for a layover at Lisbon airport, but the proximity to the airport was the only benefit of our stay.

PeruThe staff is not the friendliest and only speaks Portuguese. The reception during check-in was a bit rude. The cherry on top was that my wife was bitten by a bedbug. The staff member on duty simply stated that it wasn’t her fault and that the only solution she could offer was to evict us at 1 a.m. and refund our money. I understand that bedbugs can be brought in by other travellers, but it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure thorough and proper cleaning to prevent their spread. Upon returning home, I’ll have to get rid of all my clothes.

France-The check in process is very badly organized. We had to go to the cafe next door to get the key and that required waiting 45 minutes after a long trip. -it’s a 5th floor apartment with an elevator that is extra slow. If you have a lot of luggage it sucks. You can get there twice as fast by taking the stairs. -the bathroom is very very tight and uncomfortable to use. The shower curtain sticks to you while you shower, the hooks for towels are not placed in areas that make them accessible, there is nowhere to put your clothes and items, and it was impossible not to get water on the floor, which equals a dirty bathroom. There was no trash in the bathrooms either. -the bathroom was dirty our whole stay, from arrival on. Someone came to clean it about an hour after we arrived but did not wipe down the toilet (I did that myself) and within a 1/2 hr it was dirty again. -the bed was not comfortable.
The decor was nice and it was nice to have a little terrace. There was lots of storage space and dedicated spaces in the fridge for each room to avoid confusion. Appreciated 2 bathrooms despite their tiny size.
