Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsNothing in particular :)
The Lobby offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing, reading, writing, working on your laptop, or even enjoying the board games they provide. The amenities are excellent—you can cook, as well as wash and dry your clothes with the machines available. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the city; I found myself going on walks almost daily to soak in the surroundings. I recommend to order at the bar thr “Green wine” it is like white wine with an extra something that makes it better :).

United States1. There was no hot water pressure to the 5th floor room with a private bath that I engaged. Ownership has been aware of this issue, yet doesn't fix it. I paid for a working private bath- don't take my money and then tell me I have to use a semi-private bath because there isn't enough water pressure to take a decent shower. 2. Cooking utensils and equipment wear out. Replacing or fixing them is a cost of doing business. In most cases, these costs run less than a 1000 Euro a year. Owner: You wouldn't have this worn out/broken stuff in your home, so don't inflict them on your staff and guests. We're the ones that keep you in business.
The staff are wonderful. The location is fanstastic. The range of services (laundry, bar, good sized kitchen, plenty of seating and power outlets, etc.), and amenities is impressive.

Puerto RicoThere was nothing I did not like but I guess I would have preferred more privacy (I did book for a mixed 10-bed room) during New Years Eve so I cannot complain...
I booked this place last minute for New Year's Eve and couldn’t have been happier. It’s in a great location, the beds were super comfy and clean. The best part? The staff! Guilherme was amazing—he made sure I had everything I needed, gave great tips on exploring Porto, and made everyone feel at home. Special thanks to Jaz, Hugo, and Isabella for their company! Honestly felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel. Would definitely come back!

United StatesThe lack of clothes hangers, and no place to place one's opened luggage other than the floor or on the bed. since some kind of chest or luggage rack isn't provided. Dull knives. Bathroom sink clogged with hair.
A fabulous location, clean sheets, good water pressure, and the heating worked.

United StatesWe asked for a corner room with terrace, all good. The only problem, there is no soundproofing between our room and the adjacent dorm rooms. If we stayed again, we’d ask for a room on the 5th floor.
We didn’t eat breakfast at Nice Way. The location adjacent to Sao Bento train station is a real bonus, especially during the subway expansion project.

United StatesThe room was super basic....nowhere to put anything, one single light in the center of the ceiling...gave off prison vibes, but the overall vibe, location, good laundry facility, 2 euro wine, friendly staff, etc, made it more than worth it. You can definitely get a nicer room for what they charge for a private room, but the communal aspect makes up for it.
Lovely vibe. Really nice common room with lots going on....bar, several different tables and couches, games, good wifi, friendly staff. The common area makes this place what it is...a great place to connect with other travelers. One day it rained all day and we were tired from traveling anyway, so we did laundry, played games, read and hung out. Could not have done that in a normal hotel.
