Stunning, unique boutique hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff. Amazing pool and breakfast area overlooking Porto. Rooms are divine, with beautiful furnishings and fit out. They are also so spacious.

Sunbeds a little grubby especially near hot tub area. The ‘indoor pool’ is a hot tub.

Fantastic hotel, outstanding service - nothing too much trouble. Dog welcome and no issues. Excellent high quality breakfast.

Maybe the addition of a larger illuminated light would have been great, but we could not fault the hotel at all!

We loved the hotel and everything about it. Faultless. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the helpfulness of the staff throughout our stay made our stay ever better. We felt so welcome in the hotel and so at home. We are frequent travellers and the hotel was just perfect for our special family holiday. Thank you so much everyone at the The Torel.

Food and drinks were overpriced. Don’t mind spending money but it felt like a rip off so avoiding eating there which was a pity.

Amazingly beautiful boutique hotel with brilliant staff and the most beautiful views. It is far enough from the crowds to be quiet and peaceful but yet in walking distance to everything. The breakfast is delicious and the food in their restaurant is also a must.

There is nothing we disliked

Facilities are amazing, interiors are beautiful and staff couldn’t be more helpful! The champagne breakfast was also a lovely way to start the day 🥂

The hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk from the river - all downhill on the way there! Some might find the location challenging.

Thus hotel exceeded all expectations. Beautiful art delicious breakfast excellent facilities very close to everyone. Feel secluded while being close to everything. My favorite hotel in Portugal.!!!

lighting in the room was poor and far too dark.

Staff was spectacular. Top tier service. Pool was great as were facilities. Very solid restaurant. Amazing views from pool and from deck as well as some rooms.

The pool and gardens seem too small for the number of guests - not somewhere I'd want to be to escape the crowds of noisy tourists in Porto. Not a good dining experience in the restaurant and the restaurant recommended for our other night was quite good but almost comically distant and expensive.

Good location for exploring Porto with a great view of the river. Reception and valet parking staff are very good.

I didn’t like the design of the bathroom— there is no door, so there is absolutely no privacy. The breakfast could be improved, especially the selection of FRESH vegetables should be increased. The quality of vegetables was terrible- frozen tomatoes from a supermarket

Great hotel with exceptionally attentive staff on hand to help with any requests. Modern comfortable rooms with all amenities. Set in a really good location that’s easily walkable to tourist attractions and beautiful view over the Douro River. Breakfast had plenty of choices and really tasty. Would highly recommend!

The hotel is showing a few signs of age, but this doesn’t impact on the stay! It’s a great hotel to stay at in Porto!

The staff at Toreal and lovely and very helpful! The pool was a welcome addition especially given the heat. Breakfast was very good!

The food service. Food for room service and breakfast both took a while to be prepared and the staff were not as “on top of it” as the front desk and spa staff. Overall the food was tasty and the variety was good. This should absolutely not deter you!

The room was beautiful with a fantastic view of the river. The staff upon arrival were very friendly and professional and we loved our massage at the onsite spa!
