Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

TaiwanNothing (might not be as perfect as other 4 star hotel in Asia, but it’s already super great considering its in small island and almost everything is imported)
Great location with private beach and port, so the boat can pick us up and drop us directly at the resort’s port!

United StatesSewage problem, had wanted very much to enjoy the Private Beach for relaxation, for months, but area was off limits due to contamination issues, this along with location after a week on a liveaboard was the primary reason why i choose this resort.the gym did not have a floor to strech on, no chin up bar etc.

United StatesMinor - The gym was good, decent selection of machines and the free weights were a bonus - but the space was small/crowded and could have used a fan to circulate the air better. Even when I was by myself it felt stuffy in there and most of the time the windows were sweating/fogged.
I chose the resort for the beach and swimming facilities. They did not let me down - really enjoyed the beach and sitting out listening to the water while reading my book. LOVED the little balcony - I used it every day a little bit even if it was just while drinking my morning tea in the room. The full spa was an added bonus - we both had massages while at the resort and they were great. The grounds were really beautiful - from the amazing fish pond (and little kids can feed the fish in the evening daily) to the beautiful plants - added to the tropical paradise. We stopped in at several other places/hotels/resorts to eat (within walking distance of the resort) and check them out and I was really happy with my decision to stay at the Palau Royal Resort because of the amenities and layout/landscaping. We had wanted to play pool but never got a chance. The pool table was a nice discovery. The staff were super helpful and the ability to use a laundry room before we left was really appreciated.

Hong KongThe wifi is pretty bad. (Probably not only here). Better to to pre-book tours than do it from the hotel. Other than that it is refreshing to turn off!
Location is brilliant. We used the dive shop at the hotel. We did not book breakfast, just decided daily, which was a good choice for us. Everything is there what’s needed. The private beach is lovely and the spa is really nice.

United Arab EmiratesWiFi was terrible. When it did connect it worked fine but it constantly disconnected and required login every time. I was logging in on average 10-15 times a day. Very frustrating
Room and balcony very clean and spacious, excellent view of the marina. The staff were helpful and friendly. Beach and pool were stunning but the outside pool bar was closed, however, there is another bar in the restaurant. I didn't eat in the hotel so not sure on the food but the drinks were priced in line with the surrounding restaurants/bars. The dive centre on site is also very convenient. That being said, the other dive centres arrange free transport.

TaiwanThe WiFi signal and speed inside the room were not very stable. It's recommended to use the WiFi in the lobby if you need to upload photos or videos.
The location is excellent, with good restaurants and a mini mart nearby. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Mandara Spa at the hotel. The ocean view from the superior premium twin room was wonderful, and the room was well-equipped.

AustraliaThe buffet breakfast was very disappointing...cold rubbery eggs! Food and drinks were very expensive and buffet quality was hit and miss. Would recommend the pizza and gyoza only. Luckily there were better places to eat close by and a mini mart over the road.
Great location and staff were very helpful. The lagoon and beach was a bonus on days we didn't have a tour booked. Easy walk to a few good restaurants and a 10 minute drive to town.

AustriaThe food was mediocre, we found mold in our meals twice, and the overall buffet quality was lacking, unfortunately. Service was okay at best, with rather unmotivated staff and some smaller hiccups. The whole hotel was full of military personnel in uniforms who apparently booked it for an event, but that didn't quite make it a luxury holiday vibe for the other guests. It looks like the military is regularly or permanently using the hotel facilities with special spa offers for them, etc.
Private beach is beautiful, and the location is pretty central with nice restaurants nearby. We could leave our luggage here for a whole week while we were on a liveaboard. The fish pond with many tropical fish and a turtle and a daily feeding is nice.

AustraliaReception and restaurant door staff aloof, strained politeness. No milk or milk powder for coffee / tea in room. Was told this is standard and not available. Room rates expensive, breakfast not included. Room service dinner - horrible - oversalted and arrived cold.

United StatesFeed the fish in lagoon entrance on time (4:45-5:00 daily) as advertised. Never got to see them feed. Improve the video capability of the TVs to allow streaming and to connect cameras/videos to see daily diving on the Big Screen. The elliptical in the exercise room was barely usable due to interface/software problems. The mechanics of the machine itself were fine.
Very accommodating staff. On premise washers/dryers for guest for which they made change and supplied detergent. Loved the fish lagoon, especially the Napoleon Wrasse cruising the surface water like an aircraft carrier making a bow wake.

United StatesThe breakfast buffet wastes very little food when it's shutting down. If you get there late (9:00+ when it closes at 9:30), expect slim pickings. You can still get an omelette made to order, but don't expect more cut fruit to appear. Hotel wifi login page constantly de-auths your devices. The login is annoying, and you'll end up memorizing the username/password and regularly re-entering it. The wifi can be super slow depending on location. I had a work video conference call at 5am that I couldn't avoid, which I intended to take from the IT conference room to avoid waking my family. The 2GHz wifi (couldn't get 5GHz) was lossy and high latency at 4:45am. I ended up rigging up an ethernet connection which worked, but a non-computer person wouldn't be able to do this... so if you're intending to do synchronous work from the resort, I recommend a dry run or two if it's important.
The location in Koror is great for access to restaurants, tours, etc. The beach and pool are great for the kids. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the renovated rooms and the interior was modern and comfortable. My family of 6 was very happy with the resort, and we'll certainly consider it when we return to Palau.

United StatesOur room faced the marina. Ask for a beach view room which is far superior.
The pool and beach were excellent. We used this as a day-use hotel after vacating our liveaboard at 8am and before our 1am flight. We never tried the hotel restaurant. There is a bar/restaurant on the waterfront a five minute walk from the hotel which serves great food at a reasonable price. We lunched there. We ate dinner at the excellent Taj restaurant in downtown Koror which has a free pickup/dropoff service to/from your hotel. (Koror's "downtown" is too far to walk comfortably and has little to offer.) The hotel allowed check in at about 11 but we used the pool right from our arrival at 8am and onwards. While a pricey for just dayuse, it was a very pleasant place to spend the day and evening.
