The entrance, reception, bar-dining area were stunning and as opulent as shown in the photos. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. It was great to have such a large room, but sadly there is a great need for refurbishment in the bedroom, lifts, and corridors. There was a good shopping centre opposite the hotel but unfortunately the streets were abandoned and it felt uncomfortable walking them.

The staff in the restaurant was rude and ignored us on several occasions. We tried to order lunch, but they ignored us, even as we tried to talk to them. The day before we tried to order something to drink to the pool area and they just showed us off with hand gestures. Later we saw other people being served in the pool area. Seems like the discriminate against us for.being English speaking, even though we tried our basic spanish in combination with Google translate.

The breakfast was great! Selection, quality and service are really good. The staff in the reception are very service-minded and some of them speak good English. Nice overall atmosphere and quite good pool area.

Mold in the 'jacuzzi' spouts of the bathtub was not very appealing so bathing in the 'jacuzzi' was not inviting. The tv didn't appear to have any channels/shows to watch but we also could not find instructions for this so maybe there are and we just couldn't find them. Overall the hotel is very lovely and that far exceeds these minor details.

The gentleman who provided room service was wonderful - very cordial and professional and kind. The front desk staff were very helpful and patient with our small amount of Spanish language understanding. The breakfast buffet is very nice with many different foods to choose from, including local Guarani options. The room was very large and bright. The swimming pool was very nice to refresh from the heat of the day. Internet modem in the room was nice - we could connect ethernet cables to our laptops, which was nice. The internet speed (mostly under 10mbps down) was on the slow side (at times it was fast.. it fluctuated) but we were still able to do online gaming at a reduced rate and also an virtual meeting, so it would be possible for reasonable digital access, for a digital nomad, as an example. It is very difficult to find a hotel with good internet speed in Asuncion, but this hotel is the closest we could find to having 'good' internet that would be suitable to conduct online business reasonably.

It's not really the hotel's fault, but there was not much atmosphere when I was there. The few other guests I saw during breakfast were mostly keeping for themselves.

It was a very pleasant stay, the hotel was lovely and quiet. Every staff member was professional and courteous. Breakfast was monstrous with a wonderful range of options. The pool was nice too, even though the weather wasn't pool-friendly. The hotel's location makes it easy to explore the centro.

The hotel is great. Be aware that most things around the city centre are shut on Sunday. Shopping malls are still open.

Since the hotel was built for a long time ago, the interior and the furniture in the hotel room are old. Therefore I did not feel good. The old room environment(Finish of interior, Furniture, etc.) diminished my feeling although the space of the room was sufficiently spacious and functional.

Hotel is located in downtown Asuncion, It's very comfortable what we can explore the center of city on foot. Asuncion was a place where I worked on donations for Paraguay 10 years ago, so it was nice to look around every corner of the city on foot. I like the Lobby that is decorated classical atmosphere and is planed comfortable space layout. Especially, Yard(Patio) within swimming pool are beautiful and peaceful.

The gym is maybe 50% functional. All three bikes didn't work, 1 treadmill didn't work, and the other made terrible noise at higher speeds, so I only dared to use it slowly. As pointed out by others, the hotel is generally dated.

The hotel has charm, as many others have pointed out. The room I had was very spacious, with lots of power outlets, and overall quiet. The WiFi had good speed.
