Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe ran out of hot water in our accommodation very quickly and had cold showers. We also then ran out of water all together in the night, but it was back working in the morning. I presume each room has their own supply. We were kept awake at night due to the sound of the local dune bugging. (Obviously not an issue directly with the hotel, but something to be aware of.) It finally stopped about 4am, but started again at 6am - so definitely pack ear plugs! This was a bit of a shame as I’m sure it would have been a very silent night otherwise.
Stunning property right in the heart of the desert. Beautiful room, so much attention to detail. Loved that there were so many things to do on site, like the camel riding and also the kids play tent was fab! We had a delicious meal for dinner and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special.

QatarNoisy quad bikes in the dunes. Our stupidity meant we didn't consider how cold it would be at night in December and the pool would be too cold to use
Beautiful private villa with pool in the desert. Love the eco friendly destination and how they care for the environment. Novel destination. Lovely food and drinks and great atmosphere. Heaters outside. Pick up service included from al meera so no 4x4 needed.

QatarThe meal prices are high and the signage to the property not so clear. There is a part of the road to the location that isn't accessible without a off road car.
The rooms are well designed and comfortable.

QatarYou really need to groom the plant often, because the insects. Remove all spent flowers, dying or yellowing leaves, and dead branches. Keep your plants clean and neat; not only are they more attractive, but this practice reduces insect and disease problems.

Saudi ArabiaWe had to go off-road to reach the resort. I suggest that they have a reception center and parking in the main road for non off-road cars. I think they have to add more facilities, restaurants, store and enhance current facilities.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
Gold star service. After waiting patiently for my delayed flight (for over two hours!), my driver, Osman, told me so many tales of Qatar, its rapid development and its colourful people. When we turned off the main road and he said “Welcome to the desert”, and that was the start of the most amazing 48 hours. I was greeted with warm smiles, interest and patience. Nothing I asked for was ever denied. I have medicine that needs to be stored in fridges and freezers and Al Barari just took care of it, no issues (and this is huge for those of you that know). The luxurious tent that was my villa (number 9) was beautiful and off to the left where it is very secluded. I could see sunset from my patio. The staff are amazing and never enter your enclosure without your permission. Sagar, Shan Ali, Kawtar (thanks for getting me on the electric sand bike! I felt like I was in Mad Max.), Anand, Rabiqul, Alamine, Bishram and more (thank you room service!) treated me so well, kept my villa sparkling and made me feel so welcome. I don’t know the name of the security guard who, at 2am, came to shut my gates (that I had stupidly left open) in the middle of the storm but I will always remember him with gratitude. I highly recommend going to the Inland Sea with them. I went after check out (which they so kindly allowed me to extend). I had a blast with Tahir (amazing driver and photographer) in the massive sand dunes. And he knows where the best sunset spot is. The crazy thing is when I was arranging the trip days before, I had asked whether there was anywhere to shower, afterward as I would have checked out. Shan Ali remembered, mentioned it to Mr Taha (the lovely general manager) and they allowed me to shower in one of the empty villas before my flight. And there’s more. As I wanted to see the Souq Waqif before flying, they took me there on the way to airport and I got to also see the city and do some shopping before they dropped me at the airport.
