“Lovely hotel with a gorgeous view of the mountains from the bedroom. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was in an ideal location in a calm and relaxing town”
“Great location close to train station and bus station but not next to it so you cannot hear the trains. Very comfortable bed and we had a room overlooking the river. As we had an early start they provided a lunch box. The staff is super friendly and helpful .”
“The location was fine. The beds were comfortable. The guy in the reception was very helpful and gave us another room the second night because the first room was too humid I couldn't sleep.”
“This was one of the nicest hostels I've been to. The atmosphere is great, lots of social activities. They offer great tours to the historical sites. The staff were super helpful.”
“The guy who runs it was amazing—very helpful and thoughtful at all times.
The hostel is fairly well located, but the noise… omg. Impossible to go to bed early because of all the noise coming from outside.
There was an issue with the hot water while we were there, but it was resolved. I don't think it's an everyday issue, so it was understandable. Our bathroom sink leaked, so the floor was constantly wet, and there was a persistent damp smell in the room, even though we occasionally opened the window for ventilation.
The aunties who cleaned the place were also amazing. We stayed there for three nights, and every morning they were up early making sure everything was spotless for the new guests. They offered to clean our room every day—we declined the first time because we didn’t want to bother them, but accepted after the second night as they insisted on tidying up and changing our towels. It was lovely to come back to a clean room after walking around town.
Breakfast was included and pretty simple: tea, juice, two small but soft and delicious breads, butter, jam, and scrambled eggs made fresh by a lady once she saw you seated. I think the breakfast system could be explained better—it wasn’t, so I had to figure it out by watching others, and I ended up explaining it to a few guests myself. Breakfast was also served very early (6–8am), which wasn’t ideal for us since our tickets to Machu Picchu were for later in the day, so there was really no need for such an early start😮💨🥱.
If I could rate something very poorly, it would be the guests.
Unbelievable lack of common sense or awareness. Every morning we were woken up at 4am by people slamming doors, knocking loudly on other doors, and talking like it was midday😤. Zero respect for anyone trying to sleep. A real shame.
-100000 for all of them👎.
Overall, if you don’t mind walking a bit more and can handle the party noise outside, this is a good place to stay 😊👌”
“If you're looking for cheap accommodation in a convenient location with 24h reception that will do. However if you're expecting professional customer service and standard cleanliness, safe location and a peaceful environment better look elsewhere.”
“Great hotel right in the center. location is excellent, beds are comfortable, the shower (great water pressure for long hair) was the best so far on our trip in South America, amazing breakfast and friendly staff. I recommend it and hopefully will be back soon.”
