“Fantastic location in the heart of the rainforest. Stunning views and gardens. Beautiful 360 degree veranda. The best part was Robbie and Charmaine who went out of their way to make us feel welcome, comfortable and catered for. Delicious breakfasts on the veranda were a highlight. Charmaine offered her knowledge and experience to help us get the most out of our stay.”

  • “The host and the setting felt incredibly home-like, which made my stay very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, with homemade spreads that were a thoughtful touch, and the breads were absolutely delicious. A wonderful, cozy experience overall!”

“The location is very nice, it is in the middle of the Daintree rainforest. The accomodation is so lovely and very connected to nature. The owner is so nice and made a delicious breakfast for us. It was the perfect stay.”

  • “If you want 5 star luxury, this is not for you. If, like me, you want a comfortable place to stay with an excellent host, then this is for you. The rooms are large with air-con, the bed, king size. A great walk-in shower and the basic trimmings. The breakfast is more than adequate, and Gil, the host, will do all that he can to ensure you get what you need. He will also give you a lot of info regarding the area. Yes, the place is a little rustic, but it was perfect for me. I will be going back.”

“The Hibiscus Cottage is a truly exceptional accommodation in the heart of the rainforest. There were three of us and we spent three days here. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, the pool in the creek, the siesta on the lawn, and the evenings on the veranda. The cottage is entirely eco-friendly: no TV, no air conditioning, solar-powered electricity and rainwater from a tank, and open-air bathrooms with a view of the forest. It's simple, but offers everything you need after a strenuous day in the rainforest. The breakfast, with its large plate of exotic fruits and plenty of homemade jams, is fantastic, and Matt is a perfect host. He is very attentive and gave us lots of good information and tips. Thanks again for that!”

  • “Delicious, ample, healthy breakfast. Great verandah looking into forest. Local's insight to the goings on in the region.”

“The hosts, Robbie and Charmaine, were amazing. Charmaine took the time and gave suggestions for traveling and sightseeing. All of the suggestions were bang on!! Especially the organic ice cream and the boardwalks! Breakfast was served at 8:30 and they were both tasty and filling. Beds were comfortable and a.c. wasn't needed because of the ceiling fans. Lots of hot water and wonderful views of the rainforest from the balconies. On a side note... Robbie looks and sounds like Russell Crowe!!!!”
