  “Easy check-in. Spacious, comfortable cottage with a modern bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. Breakfast was a DIY spread of fresh eggs, bacon, bread, yoghurt and fresh fruit. I liked how a coffee machine with capsules of different intensity and fresh milk was provided. Water pressure in the bathroom was great and there was ample hot water. There was also a gas fire in the cottage so it was cosy. Serene garden, beautiful flowers, very relaxing setting.”

  “I really enjoyed my stay at Holly Lodge. I had the Garden Suite which had multiple windows with plants outside each one, this really created a feeling of being on a break from life in the City! Steve the owner/manager was extremely friendly and helpful even giving me a lift to my friend's wedding very close by since I didn't have a car and the roads do not have footpaths! The room had everything I needed. Most importantly the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was also very powerful. Everything was very clean. It was great to have a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kitchenware and cutlery. Great heater as well since the evenings had started to get cold. Block out blinds made the room very dark which was great for a good night's sleep!”

  “The driveway was steep and my front wheel drive car struggled a bit to get up the hill, I also had to do a U-Turn on the narrow road to get up the entry as the corner was too sharp from the direction I traveled.”
