“OMG what a nice hostel! It was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed. It is beautifully furnished and incredibly clean for a hostel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is super delicious and so lovingly prepared. And if you have to leave early, you get a lunchbox packed with love. You have to stay when you are in Yogyakarta!”
“This homestay is super cozy! The owners, Ika and his wife, are really kind and will help with anything you need. The location is perfect—it’s like staying in a garden, and having afternoon tea in the yard is so relaxing. It’s close to Borobudur Temple, the main road is only a dozen meters away, and you’ll find lots of restaurants if you turn left outside, a convenience store if you turn right, and a supermarket right across the street. I’d suggest staying here a few extra days—the area is quiet and beautiful, with other temples and scenic spots nearby to explore. Such a lovely place to unwind!”
“The Rumah Jawa is just the place I needed to come home to and relax. It's close enough to comfortably reach the station, landmarks and restaurants, but also in a relatively quiet area of Jogja. The staff is super accommodating and was helpful with some tips, which made my stay all the more valuable.”
“The welcoming and friendly staff on arrival and throughout the stay. The building was fabulous, colonial style with big rooms and beds. There were areas to sit in and free tea, coffee and water. The breakfast was good and they did us a pack up on our leaving day as we went early. The atmosphere was very calm after the chaos of Yogykarta! It was a perfect location, on a quiet street. We could walk to the square where every single evening there were lots of street good stalls. We rented a moped to get around, but Grabs were good too. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back!”
“While passing through Yogyakarta, Ited, her husband, and Ari welcomed us with such kindness. They’re a wonderful, generous family who will introduce you to the local culture and know all the best tips for planning activities in the area. 😉”
“Staff was not there when I arrived. Called the owner, he was not very friendly but took care of me getting in the room. Room was big, bed quiet comfortable but mold everywhere.
Shower has kind of hot water but do not expect a very hot shower.
Terrace is not reachable from the room because the door is permanently locked.”
