“Very welcoming staff, allowed us to check-in early.
Suprapto, the off-duty manager, still contacted us and arranged to transport us anywhere around Solo on his day off. This act of kindness was greatly appreciated, and helped to maximise our limited experience in Solo.
The place was spotlessly clean and the staff were very efficient and professional when there was a huge thunderstorm, quickly covering and cleaning wet areas.
The snacks for breakfast were also a pleasant surprise.
Even the nearby mosque was a pleasant wake-up call - certainly more melodic than elsewhere!
Musafir Guest House is a paragon of how to provide clean, good-value, hospitable accommodation for all travellers by doing some of the simple stuff exceptionally well.”
“Staying here for 2 nights with my husband and daughter for a short leisure in a triple room. It's a good place to stay for those who need peaceful vibes. It has a great pool in the middle of the area.
The staff was very helpful. Mas Arie (The owner) was a very nice person.
The location was quite good, it's easy to find local food along the street near to the HomeStay.
Over all is a good experience to stay here.
I only got one suggestion about the pressure of the water in the bathroom, it needs to be increased a bit😊”
“The room and the mattress were fine, the air conditioning was noisy so you didn't risk forgetting it on during the night and getting sick, but the services were non-existent. In the true sense of the word.
If you want to take a dip in the past and relive the times when you washed yourself with a bucket of water from a tub, fine, but you have to know it in advance and choose it.
In the bathroom there were no sink or shower. Only a squat toilet without a flush and a small well that fills with water with difficulty from a tap that doesn't always come out.
You use a plastic bucket with a handle to rinse the squat toilet and also to wash yourself.”
“Very kind and accommodating staff. Large comfortable room in a traditional Javanese house with a courtyard. Situated in the heart of the old town, close to Alun-Alun but far enough from tourist attractions. Lots of food stalls nearby.”
“Great place to stay, conveniently located, clean, good facilities, cool decor, tasty homemade breakfast. And the staff are so friendly and helpful. Easy to rent a motorbike.”
“The staff were amazing! L’idiota and her husband helped us with everything and really went above and beyond and it felt really like we were more just guests. The breakfast was phenomenal. Stay here if you can and don’t forget to confirm. Just to note the light to the bathroom is outside the room”
“While passing through Yogyakarta, Rumah, her husband, and Ari welcomed us with such kindness. They’re a wonderful, generous family who will introduce you to the local culture and know all the best tips for planning activities in the area. 😉”
