“We had a wonderful two nights at Mas de Garrigues. Sarah and Steve were excellent hosts: warm and welcoming and great at suggesting places we might want to visit on our trip through the region. Their house is stunning in a tranquil rural location and we were honoured to stay in what must be their best room of all: a lovely big bedroom with a large, well-appointed and beautifully furnished ensuite bathroom. A fabulous place which we would strongly recommend to other visitors.”

“Very friendly atmosphere, very nice and helpful couple who host the people. Big sleeping room, nice food. Silent surroundings and beautiful castle. Bus stop 600 meters away to Toulouse.”

  • Manoir de Laroque Delprat Review Score: 9

“A stunning conversion of a late medieval manor house, managed with love and enthusiasm by the charming Aurelia and Julian. It's a spectacular and grand property in what is definitely one of the most beautiful villages in the region, and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. All the rooms have stunning features and decoration, either original or appropriate to the period, and Julian is an excellent guide to the history of the building. We had the most delightful stay and thoroughly recommend the manoir to other visitors.”

“An absolutely spectacular destination that has to be seen and experienced to be believed. Over the period of several decades, the current owner's father painstakingly restored what was originally a wreck into the most incredible property, with a wealth of astonishing features. Our host Emmanuel, who grew up here, welcomed us with a delightful, informative and entertaining tour of the castle. All the rooms are stunning but we were privileged to stay in the original owners' own bedroom which is simply magnificent, complete with a sumptuous 18th century four-poster bed. This is no ordinary b&b but a magical and unforgettable experience in its own right. It's not every day you are handed the keys of a castle and get to spend the night there in sole charge of such an astonishing building. Worth taking a trip for this alone.”

  • “Comfy bed, clean showers and toilets. François the host was just excellent and so friendly - and I loved the super cute doggy (Roi, if I remember correctly?) 🐶🐶🐶 and the dinner was excellent, too!! Thanks for everything!”

“We have been travelling down to south west France for many years and always break the journey somewhere in this area. This stopover was one of the best. A real little gem of a find. Situated n Martel , a picturesque medieval village/small town just 10 minutes from the A20. The hotel was originally a wine bar but the old building has been renovated to add a small bistro/restaurant and some guest accommodation. We received a warm welcome from a member of staff who was friendly and helpful throughout. Our room was spacious, with contemporary decor and even tea and coffee making facilities (unusual in France). The en suite was lovely with a great shower, complimentary bath products and plenty of space to put one’s stuff! We ate in the bistro and enjoyed a delicious dinner made from fresh local produce, perfectly cooked and served by delightful staff. We were the only guests for breakfast but we were treated to a fabulous array of local produce, breads and croissants. The host even rushed out to get us strawberries from the market! Before leaving we spent time exploring the town which is beautifully clean and presented with little streets just needing to be photographed. There are some beautiful little shops whose proprietors were incredibly friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a stroll round the local market where again everyone was extremely friendly. Everything (bars, shops, cafes) is within easy walking distance of the hotel. Above all, this place was great value for money. We paid 74 euros for the room - maybe this is a low season tariff but the whole experience was worth so much more.”
