“Beyond expectations. Quiet, spacious and very comfortable bungalow. Direct access to the water, where swim, snorkeling and kayaking just await! Everything is well thought, both functional and "solid". The hosts are very generous with their food, boating, and hospitality in general, including planning trips and such. You need a vehicle (or can rent theirs). I had rented a scooter in town and enjoyed this particular corner of the island.”
“Fabrice was an awesome host and staying at the house felt very authentic. As for all of Raiatea, it is important to know that you should rent a car as otherwise you would not be able to really enjoy the island. Since the house does not have walls or air conditioning, of course, there are mosquitoes and it can get very hot during the day. But this is clearly laid out in the description of the accommodation and I would consider this being part of the experience. There are multiple fans in the house. Make sure to bring and put insect repellent.”

“location is 20 minutes walk to the main port and town, 5 minutes by car and a similar drive to and from airport. When the black-out curtains were closed bedroom was dark and quiet with great AC, but when opened, like the rest of the house, was light and spacious and most of the time a nice breeze due to its elevation.”
“Trying to be fair here, the room and surrounding facilities were decent, communications before our stay were very good and all looked excellent. Alas the proprietor was called away to Tahiti and it went rather wrong from there, she was requiring hospitalization in Tahiti. Not her fault but it would have been better to cancel and refund. Her friend did our breakfast and it was not good, cold coffee and a language barrier. The worst of it was that she booked and was paid for 2 trips while we were there, my stupidity in prepaying, we were on a Catamaran and the trips were the day before we sailed and the day we finished sailing. The day before was a bit of a mess, the people seemed not to expect us but we did get to go on that trip, Alas the one after did not happen, we had arranged to meet at 9AM when we got off the Cat but the proprietor had sent a message, which we did not get as no WI fi at sea, changing the time to 8.15 when we were still on the boat. The place to meet was also changed, it was not very far and, no idea why, the driver did not come up to the marina and ask, he would have found us there easily as there were passengers and crew all around. No refund to date and no longer getting any messages, l hope that is not because of her health but felt l had to just say do not pre pay. I dislike leaving a bad review but no messages for over 2 weeks now so feel l have to. Basically would have been OK but for the trip going wrong”
