“Super nice place, very clean and calm.”
“The stay was good, the room is best suited for a short stay. The staff was wonderful and the location is a bit further from the city but doable with taxi or if you have a bike.”
“Still excellent. Best bang for the buck in Mae Sot Shower is the one thing that might need an upgrade”
“The owner/manager is very accommodating and gracious. The Retro is like a time capsule in a very nice mubon. The neighbors smile and people are generally friendly. This is real Thailand. Although the border region and Mae Sot is known for some difficulties, Retro remains a comfortable, solid place to get a good night's sleep.”
“Main highlight is the peaceful central garden, which gives the guesthouse a very secluded feeling. The staff were also super helpful and nice. The bed was comfortable and softer than usual mattresses in SE Asia. The overall quality of the rooms is high, and tastefully designed/decorated. AC was good. Lots of great suggestions for places to eat and things to do in the town and surrounds. The mostly continental style breakfast was simple but well appreciated.”
“Everything, could not of wished for anything more, superb. Just a comment one or two of the doors want adjustment for security and a slightly more obvious reception sign on arrival.”
“I always stays at Picturebook guesthouse when I go to Mae Sot. I like their concept of social enterprise. The staffs are always nice and helpful. They allow you to check in before time if the room is available. The area is well-kept and green. Each room has its own themes. The hotel provides bikes that you can borrow for riding around city center.”
“Price.”
“Very good.”
“The room is nice and comfortable and clean. The hospitality is outstanding. The place feels like a family. There is a private area that you can sit and watch the stars at night. I do recommend everyone to stay at this place when you are in MaeSot.”
Ranked 6 out of 8 in the Tak Province region, as well as being 19 of 26 for B&Bs and inns in Mae Sot.
