    “The hotel reception is located on 2F (1st floor) without any lift so be aware that you need to carry your luggage up the stairs. Our check-in time was 3pm, we arrived at 5pm and were made waiting for almost an hour because our room had some smell from previous clients and the staff was trying to get rid of it with the aircon. We weren’t notified before neither by email or via a Booking message. When we were finally able to enter the room, the smell was still there and it was very unpleasant. If you are sensitive to smell, I recommend not choosing this room as it has a kitchen. However, the rest of the room was very nice and spacious, and the bathroom area was great with a bath and shower, as well as separated toilets. You can also do your laundry for free, which is a plus.”

    “Value hotel near the train station. My dad had the best night sleep however my walls were very thin so I had to listen to the neighbour sniffing and sneezing all night. Staff very friendly and great having breakfast included”

    “Needed an express bus from Takayama for 1.5 hours which runs every one hour but it was a lovely place surrounded by mountains. Bus stop was 30 mins walk up really steep hill to the accommodation but the owner gave us a lift from/to the bus stop. Accommodation was spacious and beautiful lodge. It snowed a quite a lot in mid-April but it was so beautiful to be in a private hot spring outside while snowing. Due to snow we couldn’t see mountains much, so I would like to come back in summer for hiking.”
