“The owners are such nice and lovely people, they are very friendly and ready to help when you're in need. We had to leave soon after we arrived, so I can't say a lot about the beds and the night stay”
“Kenny and Lumi were exceptionally kind. Very helpful and thoughtful.
This is a very good place to stay, especially if you don't speak Japanese since Kenny and Lumi both speak English: they are always willing to give advice and tips, and always willing and ready to help. Also, the inn is pet friendly. Our rabbits had a great time too.”
“Typical japanese house, with all equipments, and in a very quiet area.
A restaurant is located at 150 meters.
City center at 10 minutes walk.
Supermarket at 10 minutes walk.”
“Michael, our host, was very helpful. Property was very well presented and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room space was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.”
“Only stayed overnight so I didn't use the facilities much, but everything was in excellent condition. Communal spaces were clean and my room was just as in the pictures. It's a cosy guesthouse, there are no combini/shops in the immediate surroundings but it takes about 15mins by foot tp get to a very lively area with shops and restaurants, I had no problem eating out after 9pm on a weekday.”
“Everything about this place is wonderful. The staff are kind and welcoming, the food is absolutely delicious, the location is ideal. I truly had a wonderful stay here and would absolutely recommend it.”
“Magical place by the sea! I left my heart there. The guesthouse feels like an actual house and has all the necessary stuff (washing machine, kitchen stuff, etc). My room was big and bright and with a sea view. The owner was so kind, even though I unfortunately don't speak Japanese she managed to communicate with me and give me lots of advice and asked about my day. She also picked me up from the station and on my last day she gave me a ride to Tottori station (a blessing, there was a literal storm raging outside), and even made a detour to show me the sand dunes! And gave me some cookies for the trip. The town is extremely quiet and there's one big supermarket that closed at 8pm, but also two Family Mart 24/7 (with a toilet and a cash machine, for the record). Nothing is immediately next to the guesthouse but it's such a lovely place you can walk around anytime feeling safe. I also recommend this place specifically if you are interested in the Free! tour, because you're in front of Uradome beach where you'll find the first 3/4 spots. You're also at walking distance (15mins, there's also a bus or you can rend a bike) from Taijiri Shrine (Haru and Makoto's staircase) and the nearby spots, and you can use the local buses 32/33 to complete the tour. My host gave me the Free! map at check-in (and a postcard!) but you can also get it from shops and tourist offices in the area.
Long story shorts, it's a fantastic place and I'd love to be back in summer!”
