United KingdomVery clean and comfortable. Rather overpriced for what you get. We have stayed at much cheaper and better hotels in the UK and Bucharest. The DoubleTree by Hilton room was very much like a room at a Premier Inn (UK budget hotel chain). I chose the hotel for the indoor pool which was very nice but was quite an expensive extra (about £11 each per dip) as was the daily parking charge (£7 per day), both normally free for residents at other hotels. I cannot comment on the food available as we did not eat there.

All was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable, excellent breakfast. The location is really amazing. The hotel is situated on the river shore at about 15 min walking distance from the city center and the fortress.

RomaniaLocation is nice, food ok but not exceptional. The one thing that is was really annoying - they don't have any watter in the room. Not for free, not paid. You have to go downstairs to buy it. Is really stupid and annoying. For 100 EUR they can just add 1 EUR and add some watter in the room.

FranceThe hotel is not Apple friendly. If you have an iphone, connecting to their wireless internet it’s quite difficult! And the windows are not isolating. One can hear a dog barking somewhere in the city even if the room is on the 8th floor. Cars passing by also can be heard as if the window was open. And one can’t control the temperature in one’s room. It was too hot and when complained the air conditioning blew like crazy.
It was a huge disappointment this hotel !

On our second day we were woken up at 6 AM by the cleaning lady who was cleaning the room next door, we could hear her sweeping, it wasn’t even a vacuum cleaner. We could also hear at an intelligible level any normal conversation from the room above or the one next to ours.

RomaniaThe Spa is not included in the package, that is totally fine but the way they do it is shady. Not even in the message was that mentioned!!! The receptionists are unprofessional. They can’t even tell what are the policies at the hotel. 1. They forgot to mention that the spa required extra charge and that we cannot use it whenever we want because of the swimming lessons. 2. We had to pay our dinner, we didn’t had the option to write on the room because WE did not left a card number at the reception, although noone asked for it when we did the checkin.
Nice view to the river. It is near to everything. Nice atmosphere, the breakfast was delicious. The cleaning lady was the nicest.

RomaniaKing Deluxe Room with Terrace Room - AC was not working correctly, after several hours the temperature was not reduced (outside temp. in 13 April 2024 was 28 degrees max) and the room was uncomfortably hot - Old TV - The minibar only contained sparkling and still water Terrace - The terrace is spacious, but in the picture there are two sunbeds on it, and in reality there were only 2 normal chairs and no umbrella, which defeat the purpose of the big terrace, we could have gone with a room with balcony since there wasn't any sunbed or umbrella on it - The terrace was not clean as it was full of spiderwebs and gunk Gym - missing the 4kg dumbbells which are very important for someone who needs to work out certain types of exercises - not that well equipped Bathroom - not enough ventilation - when we arrived the pumps were down and could not shower, had to wait for the dirty brown water to clear up I felt like the room was too expensive for this price (I paid approx. 139 Eur in 13 April 2024).
We had King Deluxe Room with Terrace The breakfast was very good, quite varied. The view from the "Room with a terrace" was ok, but definitely not wow, as the room is at the 1st floor with the view to the river. The room was clean and big enough. The terrace was quite spacious. The area is very nice, next to the aquapark and a normal park. In the gym there is a watercooler, towels and disinfectant wipes and it has a view over the pool area.

SlovakiaNegative: booking via booking.com, we got a room with a view of the pigeons and air conditioning, luckily they changed the room to the top floor. The room is clean, the TV is old and without functions. Breakfast: this has not happened to us before and especially we would not expect it in a 4* hotel shortly before 11:00 a.m. a nervous collector of plates and glasses disturbed people's comfort zone at breakfast, saying that at 11:00 a.m. at the end of breakfast he was nervously looking at his mobile phone and watching the time and that's it, he started going after the guests who were having breakfast even at 11:05 in the morning, unacceptable for me! Half board: no one at the reception explained how it works and what is the price limit for the evening. The menu is limited to a few dishes, the prices are missing, so you can't guess what the price will be and there is no menu in English We had our first dinner at the bar, where the waiter had no problem with the food and taking care of us. The second evening and the second waiter was no longer in the mood and sent us to the dining room as they only serve dinner there. Unfortunately, this is generally not the HILTON standard.
Positive: tasty breakfast and dinner, good location of the hotel.
