Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Beside the room there was not enough heating anywhere and there was a problem with electric circuits sometime

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The landlord is truly exceptional,she goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Whether it’s helping with translations to communicate with Serbian locals or assisting with other requests, she’s always there to help. The cleanliness of this hostel is unmatched. The staff changes the pillow covers and bedding regularly, ensuring a fresh and comfortable environment at all times. What makes this place truly special is how the landlord treats visitors like family. You feel welcomed and cared for from the moment you arrive. If you’re visiting Niš, this is hands down the best hostel to stay at. Highly recommend!

Really a perfect place, I wouldn't change anything.
Everything was perfect. Ultra clean, quiet and I loved that there are 4 places to work on laptop. two in the room and two in the kitchen, it's so important to be able to work on laptop, many places overlook it. It feels like an expensive airBNB but is very affordable!

The hostel was cosy and felt like a home. That was reslly niceto experience after been traveling for a while.It have stable beds and desk in thw dorms. It was clean. Check in and out went smoothly. Grrat location, close to town and the bus station. Super nice stuff. I would highly revomend this hostel and i would return if I ever be ln Niś.

We had such a great time in Sleephostel, the host lady was really kind and helpful, the room was quite clean, we used to kitchen making some coffee and smoking, we had everything that we needed to, thanks for everything, regards from Türkiye🌺

It's directly on a road, and the walls are paper thin, so you'll hear both the traffic and every move of the people in the dorm, who is my case were doing things until 3am.
It's a small apartment with 2 rooms, one shared and one private. The private room is spacious and comfortable. The check in required prior notice of arrival time and then texting again 10 minutes before arrival. It's a bit of a hassle but they responded quickly and in a helpful way. It's very central near the bus station and the city centre.

Nice small hostel in a great location. Very clean and comfortable. It was very warm when I was there so the AC was a big plus. The hostel is very small with only one dorm room and a private room so you feel like you are at home right away. If you are looking for a quiet place to have a good night sleep this is it.

(1) Lack of privacy. There is no curtains or divider for each sleeping quarter/ bunk. One of the guests has an intolerable body odor. It might be better if there is a thick curtain around the bed so that one can put air freshener by the bed to make the stay more tolerable. (2)There is no salt or other essential condiments that makes even just a simple cooking very difficult.
The hostel is close to the bus station. Hosts are friendly and the place is clean.

Sleep is great for a short stay in Niš! It is very nicely located next to the river and close to the city center, also the bus station and 24/7 grocery stores. The Communication was very reliable and it was definitely worth the price! Note, that it is a very small hostel. Mainly an apartment with two dorms, one kitchen and one bathroom. They make a great job with daily cleaning, but still the bathroom was often very wet and there is only one toilet and one shower which are in the same room - so be aware of that. Also as a solo traveler woman you should be okay with staying only with men and there is no reception, so you should feel comfortable with that :) i had a good stay!
