Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThe internet is a bit slow upstairs. But the staff gave me a room with internet downstairs to compensate. Also in room 4 upstairs the noise of the road is too loud.
Great location for a great price and the staff is super friendly and flexible.

MexicoQuite disorganised with the numbering of the beds and not knowing who’s checking in and out 😅 toilet lock wouldn’t work so it didn’t feel very comfortable, limited supplies on hand soap and paper towels, the rooms wouldn’t lock as well and even though there are cameras on the hallways it’d still be nice to have our own room keys
24/7 reception, excellent location right in the city centre few steps away from Republic Square, super friendly staff which was what added up the most imo! Private lockers to keep belongings safe

CanadaThe bathroom/toilet situation could be better. The one I used had 2 toilets and 3 showers. However, neither of the toilet doors locks and the showers just have a flimsy shower curtain so there really is no privacy. On check in, you're told you can lock the door to the entire room when using the shower... Which is okay as long as the hostel isn't busy, or people don't take an hour in the bathroom at a time! But what happens when the hostel is full? The entire room gets locked just for one person? I would think it would make more sense to have locking doors on each individual cubicle so it can be used by more people at a time.
For the most part, my stay at Stella Di Notte was really great! Staff were wonderfully friendly, the place was very clean, it had big and secure lockers for valuables and it's in a great location.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaI booked a 6 bed female room, but got an 8 bed female room, not a big deal but also not what I paid for, and I paid more to be in that kind of room. The cleanliness overall was good, except the female bathroom always had a very bad smell, the bathroom stall trash cans were rarely emptied and there were used pads and tampons in it at all times.
It’s a great location for the money, very friendly staff and the experience overall was good.

United KingdomThe Hostel is literally a flat converted into a hostel so it wasn't easy to find it. It wasn't that big and I feel sorry for the staff who had to stay up during the night with their only entertainment being the phones and TV. The window was sort of broken and as the hostel faces out to a heavily used road junction it was a bit loud. I somehow slept through it. The bed was possible along with the pillow which had flat and poofy sides to it. plug sockets are in random places.
How simple and convenient the hostel is with it being bang in the city centre near several bus and trolleybus routes. The staff were kind and pleasant. Especially the woman who tried to help me out when I lost my plug adapter on the train that day. The bedside lockers were good.

HungaryUnfortunately, it was really cold in the room. It was blowing from the windows. The radiators were cold, too (while the temperature outside was -8°). And in the bathroom there was nothing to dry our hands with (no napkins, no hand towels, no drier). It would be good to have something of the kind.
I liked the location and the super-friendly and helpful staff. It was clean and thank God there were no problems with hot water in the shower. Another good thing is that there was a possibility to live in a women-only room, without men. That's very thoughtful. The linen was clean, too. The blankets were provided free of charge. It was also possible to rent a big towel for an additional 3 euros. The price was reasonable.

SerbiaTelling about #1 room I wouldn't really recommend to stay. You csn hear all talks on the registration, sound of interphone during the lste night. The room is cold. For queen bed we had 2 small blankets and that wasn't good for two ppl. Also it was not a queen bed, it was two beds put together. In general it's fine for one night but no longer.
Location is good, few minutes away from the city center, the grocery right on the corner. Hospital sruff, good clean restroom.

Belarus- the shower was not always clean - hostel’s employees lived in the same room and were busy - In the middle of the night, when new residents were being settled, a male employee simply burst into the women's room without warning and talked very loudly. It is clear that people need to be settled, but you can do it more quietly. - the back of the lockers was broken
- price - location in the center of the city - lockers (you don’t need to buy your own lock) - really great - clean bed linen - felt safe

North MacedoniaIt’s very noisy, guests were checking in checking out, that was upsetting. The bathrooms should be renovated , and new pillows for sleeping could be renewed. The noise from the streets as well. This location is perfect for maximum 1-2 days stay. Otherwise we stayed without sleep.

United Arab EmiratesThe old lady receptionist was nice but not knowing what a hostel is. She was replacing someone. She slept with me in the dormitory until 8 am. She was already sleeping there when I arrived around 7 pm. I asked her nicely to put her mobile on silence at 3 am. when she came back. She didn't do it. Every time she was receiving a notification, it was noisy. I had ear plugs. The morning, I had a coffee on the terrace, from the terrace, with my ear plugs, I couldn't relax because I could hear her notifications when she was at the reception. The worst thing she did, was to put back the sheets in front of me, as nobody had slept inside the bed. The morning at 8 a.m., she left the bedrooms without closing the door. Please hire volunteers. The last hostel I was in Belgrade the night before, a male actor from the US at the reception. Those travellers know how to behave in a hostel. If guests would behave like this, nobody would go to hostels. One of the rules is no mobile phone unless on silence and to clean up the sheets. I would have stayed a few days more, but I left very fast. The worst part was that I was lucky enough to be alone in the dorm. Other problems are no lockers in some toilets. There is no intimacy when taking a shower. It could be better organised. But all in all, it was clean and positive.
Accepting credit cards!!! A miracle! I read the awful reviews but I was nearby and gave it a chance. I think it might be a new owner because it seems to be rename the Stella hostel. Good idea to change the name. It was super clean and well organized on the first floor where I was. There are two floors. Lockers. Wifi. Kitchen. Balconies. Excellent area. Very good quality price.
