Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsWords fail to express the absolute luxury of staying at this resort. It is green, blue, and bright. There are flowers and birds. Best of all, you get to enjoy it while having complete privacy. We want to extend a special thanks to the manager Luigi, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And to Toto who drove the shuttle boat and guided our snorkeling tour to St. Pierre.

PortugalRudimentary breakfast, nothing exceptional for the amount paid for one night.
A private hut with access to the sea. A magnificent balcony, overlooking the ocean. Too expensive compared to other hotels around the world. But it was worth it for the unique experience, even more so because we were the only guests on the island.

United KingdomWe had troubles getting any sleep as the bed was feeling and smell a bit like dump… we do understand being literally on the water might have this effect, maybe investing in new mattress and pillows would help.
This is a stunning place to stay and it’s one of those experiences that you are prepared to perhaps, take on some less than pleasant aspects. The island It’s absolutely stunning, perfect for snorkeling .

United KingdomIt was frustrating they charge for things like wifi when you have paid so much, but if you are in the room above the restaurant you get away with it. People may find food menu limited but thats to be expected and the food was amazing.
Stunning location, felt like your own little island. Food was delicious, staff were amazing.

United KingdomBeds a bit hard, few things not working, but given the island location all was understandable. Only real issue is hotel on main island of Praslin playing crappy euro pop on certain nights. A week day stay better than weekends.
Location is outstanding, staff super friendly and helpful.

United KingdomIt is clear that this is a hotel with a lot of history, and that it could do with a few updates. However the bed spread had stains and the bathroom needed a good scrub. All in all we liked the experience.
The location is incredible. The snorkeling around the island is one of the best. We have seen a tremendous array of different fish. The breakfast was plenty, the lunch and dinner were delicious. The staff were very friendly, and eager to help.

United StatesHonestly for us it was perfect! If you are looking for a modern chic accommodation, this might not be what you're looking for as it's more rustic style, but if you like the adventure and like being up close to nature (some friendly geckos and hermit crabs) around the island, it's wonderful.
By far the best part of our stay in the Seychelles, and utterly deserving of being called magical. It's a private island only 5mins boat ride from the shores of Praslin - and in low tide you can even walk across - but the feeling of being on a special hideaway in a traditional style wooden lodge was amazing. The staff were brilliant (thank you Emmanuel for everything) and walking into the Pirate Suite we were wowed by how big and charming the space was. As there's only 5 rooms on the island we were not expecting the dining options to be that good - but it was so fantastic we decided to eat there every day. The fresh fish and creole curries were excellent, I highly recommend the shrimps on skewers. Our room had a ladder straight into the sea so we went snorkeling every day and there's a sea turtle that seems to feed by the big rock next to the island all the time, so we regularly visited it.

FranceThis place is magical. First of all, the staff is amazing. Then, the island in itself is a little piece of paradise, with a lot of animals, amazing views, and access to the ocean. You also have all the materials you need to go snorkeling around the island which is really nice. The room was great. One thing I would recommend to anyone who liked Italian food is to order the carbonara there. It was a 10/10.

AustraliaNot a criticism of the property, but our choice - because the hotel is an island and so close to what seems like “better” facilities, we wasted time onshore. Highly recommend eating at the restaurant as opposed to taking the boat across to town and making the most of your time on Chauve Souris
The location and geography of this accommodation could speak for itself and you would be blown away, but the staff take this to another level. From our first interaction on the beach at Cote D’or, orientation, check out and everything in between, this is a magnificent group of people. The historical value of this site is significant and it has kept touch with the needs of modern luxury. Pure relaxation, isolation and a feeling of being one with the landscape of Seychelles
