Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMost beds have a little shelf with a USB port for charging your phone, but unfortunately the bed I was given was missing this. Not a big deal, but it was slightly inconvenient.
The receptionist was extremely helpful and allowed us to check in 2 hours early, which was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious, and linens and towels are included. The bathrooms are also very clean.

United StatesExtras such as washing and breakfast were quite expensive.
Rooms were very clean and quite spacious. Linens and towels were included which was a bonus. Guest kitchen was also quite nice. The location was incredible -- looking out over Gammla Stan, absolutely beautiful

United StatesIt was all good
Location, gorgeous view across the harbor to the old town. Great location on a forested island minutes from museums, old town, transport and shopping. Very quiet location minutes away from city yet seems far. No bars, restaurants within hearing distance. Great all you can eat breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfy typical STF bed on an old ship, a unique experience at a great price on booking.com

SloveniaThe kitchen in this part is very small, but good enought to prepare breakfast. You need to go out of building to come to main part of building where are all other rooms, kitchen and living room.
Hostel is located near center, main atractions could be reached by foot. We stayed in the new part of Hostel, rooms are spacius with own bathroom. Place is quiet. Breakfast is good, a lot of different food. Staff is nice, ready to help.

United KingdomBetter lighting needed in the kitchen. That is the only thing that could be better. The rest is down to other guests not observing hostel etiquette.
Great customer service and facilities in a central location. Every comfort is provided. Kitchen and lounge are great, Oestermalms Foodhall, ICA and Coop within reach and eateries close by. Walking distance to attractions, ferry to Gamla Stan or Djuergarden, 65 bus stop in either direction 2mins walk away, archipelago ferries close by and several free museums behind the hostel. Hairdryer available at reception and laundry facilities although I didn't use these or do breakfast. Family atmosphere with several generations of 1 family on holiday, cosy and homely lounge area with tv, snooker table and plenty of places to sit on each landing. High level of housekeeping and cleanliness.

Switzerland- Kitchen a bit small for that many people - No room with sinks for toothbrushing - Need one's own lock to close locker - The lounge could be a bit more cosy (e.g. books, board games, sofas)
- Location close to old town - Room very quiet (even though 16 people) - Breakfast not applicable - Lot of space between the beds

FinlandThe location is perfect, 2 minutes walk a bus stop and easily reach Gamla Stan by bus or only 10-15 minutes walking. There is a habour where you can experience traveling by boat to an amazing theme park Gröna Lund. Accommodation was clean and there’s housekeeping team who clean the property’s hall and common area once a day. There’s a cafeteria next to front desk where you can enjoy coffee and bakery with an appropriate price.

FinlandThe wifi was quite bad. The heating didn't work well or wasn't on, and it was quite cold.
The location was nice and the room itself cozy. Considering that it had shared bathrooms, it was very nice to have a sink in the room.

SwedenI had to see the castle where the Swedish king lives, Sweden is supposed to be a democracy, not a kingdom. :) :)
Views from the room were wonderful, the old town and the water in front. Close to everything. However, I have a reservation here, see what I didn't like.

IsraelNo mirrors in the showers You have to push a button to have the water in the shower and it doesn’t stay for long, that was a bit annoying (but besides that the shower was good-warm water, enough room to change your clothes as well)
The location was pretty good, on a beautiful quiet island, between the old town and most of the museums. The room was big, the beds were comfortable (a bit noisy but not too much) and with a great view! There is a sink and a mirror in the room

Hong KongAlthough the location isn’t exactly in the center of the city but the view from the hostel is superb, it is facing right to the old town area and the sea. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful, room is big and clean, the environment is just peaceful and great that make you want to stay for longer time.

CanadaThese are only minors annoyances: The public transport doesn't quite reach the hostel, if traveling with lot of luggage it's tiring. The dorm is "open", sounds travels well, bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There isn't quite enough electric socket for everything in the room. The kitchen is small and get crowded at dinner time.
I really enjoyed my stay. It's one of the few affordable hostels/hotels in Stockholm and it's good. The location is good to reach the main sights of Stockholm. The dorm room was spacious (no bunk bed!) and you there is a nice division between beds with personal lamp, night table, etc. The kitchen is well furnished.

RomaniaA big issue was the lack of heating, which led to me getting a cold. I understood that they use central heating, which was not started yet, and appreciated being offered and extra blanket. It's probably good to check the status of heating with the hostel, if you travel during the fall. In retrospect, if I knew there wouldn't be any heating, I would've paid double for a standard hotel room. Still a great place, but really not a great choice for me this time.
Great location in the center of Stockholm and, at the same time, very quiet. Also great value. Facilities are above what you would expect from a hostel: billiard, lounge in the guest area (in addition to the one from the reception), nice cafe, generally nice and colorful furniture. Functional kitchen and seated area for meals (or work). My room was simple, but included a sink and a few shelves for storage. Comfortable bed, clean linen. Being on the third floor and off season, I enjoyed easy access to bathroom and shower, and there was no notable noise from other guests. The A.F Chapman is as beautiful as you may imagine. It was closed for repairs during my stay, and I was lucky to be allowed to visit it immediately after check-in, as it was still open.

United StatesWe knew what we were getting, but if you do not want an upscale hostel vibe with shared bathrooms and no frill rooms look somewhere else. This place is perfect if you want somewhere in a great location with nice shared showers and comfortable beds.
The location is perfect! Easy to walk to most major sites and is quiet and quaint. The facilities are simple, but a great value and so clean!
