Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesHallways can get very noisy at night. They seem to host a lot of students and said students would run up and down the corridors even late at night disturbing the quiet.

SwedenNoise on a weekend night ~ was awakened several times by other guests returning late at night, talking loudly. Didn't appreciate a dog in the lobby that growled and barked when I tried to sit down near it. The decor could be cozier. Also, annoyed by lockers one must pay for, using a phone at that. Other hotels at a comparable price offer free breakfast as well (although I realize, this hotel offers a kitchen).
The hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable. The grey/black/white color scheme is enhanced greatly by houseplants. Location is also very convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe facilities let this place down. There was one shower and two toilets for the whole top floor of 5 dorm rooms. This was very poor and led to lots of waiting around. There was no water fountain or tap to fill water bottles up. We were told to use the ones in the bathroom but the sinks were small so not able to. No cups available so water had to be bought in plastic bottles, yet they are pushing ‘eco’ stays. There was no kitchen as it was being refurbed, not warned in advance so no kettle for drinks or anywhere to store food. The beds were average. The pillows, bedding and towels were inadequately small/thin. The hanging and storage in the bedroom was poor. There was no seating in the room. All in all, a solid 7/10. We have stayed at the Steel House in Copenhagen, that is the gold standard they should be aiming for
The location is fantastic, less than 10 min walk to Gamla Stan. It was only an 18 min walk from Central Station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. There were plenty of little communal areas to sit and relax in. It was peaceful enough for a large hostel, noise not bad at all. The price is more than reasonable, we paid £250 for a 6 bed room for two nights, 2 adults 4 children. The room we had was warm, others complained of it being cold but we found it comfortable. The breakfast was very good, £33 for a nice buffet for two adults and two children, plenty of choice. It is a good place to stay for a family on a budget.

ItalyWe stayed here on new years eve and had a door outside our room that was used almost all nigth with about 5-10 min gap. I am sure if you have another room not so close to the entrance it is better and I am also sure new year had somthing to do with it. it is a great place but the doors are thin..

FinlandThe staff are not friendly. They could hardly assist me in many areas, for example I asked about where I could find toilet and they just told me to find it myself. Same for the room, I found it myself in the fourth floor. Shower room doesn't have shower gel. And many other bad experience I had.
The location is good

PolandHidden cost - they neither provide nor rent locks for the small lockers by the bed, so had to spend 90kr on a lock I had to throw out anyway. Definitely too few toilets and showers for so many hostel occupants.
Strict centre of the city, easy walking distance to Gamla Stan. Plenty of nice places for late-night walks just outside the hostel. Clean and comfortable beds. Decent kitchen with plenty of fridge space and free food. :)

United StatesIt's been about 16 years since I stayed in a hostel. Got one of the private rooms and it was just what I needed, a simple, standard room to sleep in that had a hanging area for clothes, a nice window, and a sink. The bathroom and shower area was shared, so you have to exit your room, walk a couple feet and go into the shared bathroom that had 2 private stalls and a sink, and the shower area had 2 private showers areas, with locks available on the doors. Good value for the price and kind staff - Anna was very nice, and I forget the gentleman's name but he was very kind and helpful. I wonder what it's like to stay on the boat, since I was in the building on land, but again, it did the trick if you need a spot to stay!

United KingdomOne of the pillows we were initially given was very flat and lumpy. When I asked for another at reception the response was that we could have another "if she could find one". (It did arrive a few minutes later). The bed wasn't particularly comfy, and the mattress was very thin and slid off the base. The light above my bed was damaged, and whilst it worked it sounded like the electrics inside had worked loose Not enough showers for the amount of rooms Only one plug socket in the room Better ventilation needed in the room
Great, central location. Close to the station and Gamla Stan

Couches, tv, Pool table -there is a cafe downstais, they offer some food too - The beds Nice little side table, with some sort of divider. Little space you can lock too. You'll need a thin padlock.
