Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenThe staff were all very friendly and went out their way to help us. Many thanks to them all. The Hotel is set up for travellers who can use the hotel as a base whilst exploring the national park and High Coast trail, as well as other sites. They have a kitchen set up like a lodge / youth hostel where you can store food in cupboards and fridges and prepare your own meals. They have lockers for left luggage, and allow (when available) cars to be parked between bookings. Very flexible approach that certainly met all of our needs. Docksta has limited eating out facilities with short hours so using the hotels facilities makes things easier.

NetherlandsMake sure how make your own food, the restaurants close early and not much choice in the village. Although this has nothing to do with the hotel.
Vert nice spaceous room with perfect shower. But best of all a real coffeemachine free for use. So not only filter coffee - but even lattes & cappuccinos - the best! Breakfast was basic, but okej! Even glutenfri options.

AustriaThe 150SEK p.p. hot tub & sauna was of real interest to me given its outdoors location, overlooking the lake. However, the water in the hot tub was in serious need of replacement/cleaning, so I skipped it. As this was an optional facility, I didn’t reduce my rating since I enjoyed staying here, and most people don’t plan to use these facilities anyway.
Great waterfront location for exploring the fantastic Skuleskogen National Park. The hotel provides a communal kitchen so guests can prepare their own lunch, dinner or fika. The employees were friendly & helpful!

SwitzerlandThe sauna costs extra.
The breakfast has everything one could need and the fact that it is self-serve whenever you wake up is a plus. The communal kitchen would also be useful for cooking a meal. The location is nice and close to the water. The room was spacious and the bathroom modern and well-equipped.

SwedenNothing wrong at all. A small few picky things not really worth mentioning..
Location very good with nice views from your room. Comfortable beds and good working showers. The hotel was very clean in all areas. Excellent breakfast that you can eat at anytime. The kitchen also has everything needed to make your own food as well as to store your own groceries. They also have a sauna and jacuzzi to rent. They also have storage/ lockers to put your items into before check in and after check out. Perfekt hotel location for hiking and a few minutes walk to the main bus station. Definitely will stay again when I come back to hike on the Höga Kusten.

NorwayNothing. I have already booked another stay. :-)
Even though the hotel has a simple standard, everything is well maintained, clean, organized and comfortable. They seem to frequently have workers staying who need an early breakfast, while holiday people might choose to sleep long. They solve this with a shared kitchen, where breakfast is stored in fridge, etc all day/night long and one simply prepares it when needed. All the necessary equipment is readily available. Additionally, every room has a seperate compartment in a large fridge, so that it is possible to store your own food as well. Around the hotel are many possible walks, which is great for relaxation, or simply walking your dog. Several cheap restaurants are nearby where it is possible to get a decent meal at a decent price. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Well done to housekeeping! Location is very convenient in a beautiful area of Sweden and also easily reached from the main road when simply passing through. Highly recommended!

GermanyThe proximity to E4 (if you want to sleep with open windows).
The concept of the hotel reminds of a youth hostel but with smaller rooms. We had quite new rooms with rainshowers and comfy beds. The kitchen on the floor where you can have breakfast could also be used to prepare your own dinner and breakfast was good. Also the location is really good for exploring Skuleskogen national park.

SwitzerlandSome noises from the E4 are audible in the room, even with the windows closed (didn't really bother me).
Very clean, friendly staff, seems to have been renovated recently. The self-service breakfast had many options. There is a laundry room that can be rented for SEK 50. Good value for the money.
