A nice, western-style place with animals on the ranch. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good food. There is a lake nearby to swim in. Dogs are welcome.

The internet didn't reach the back rooms. There is a sitting area up front, and it works well there, but a couple of boosters for the back rooms would not go astray.

Really nice owner, and the hotel is just dripping in character. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves, so it might feel a bit busy if all the rooms were full. But I was honestly unsure what it would be like, as there is always a risk with "themed" hotels that they have a theme but nothing else. This place, though, was perfectly comfortable, and the animals outside added to the feel. Overall, a nice option that worked out well - and you get to stay in a Wild West hotel in the middle of Sweden...

The beds, old and not super comfy. Breakfast was super early, so preferred to sleep in. Not much to do apart from looking at the animals, go for walks - slow living.

Ranch theme, very well done. Lots of stuffed animals, and cowboy decor. Nice to live close to the horses. They have a horse stable underneath the rooms, with in total around 10 horses on the ranch.

The room can get rather hot in summer, but luckily the fan available makes it possible to sleep in peace :) It would be great to have some insect nets to keep the flies away in the future!

If you are looking for an escapade from the everyday’s urban chaos, look no further than J A Ranch! 🤩 It is situated right in the middle of nature (easy access to lake and forest) and hosts many lovely farm animals on site as well. Only issues I encountered, was trying to cook (boil watter for pasta) there was a "thermostat" that kept turning the electric cooker plates off (and on and....)...

We loved the surroundings, especially the playground area and pet-goats. Breakfast was "classical swedish". Very nice. Weather also typical swedish ;-)

Super nice place, with a real western ranch atmosphere. We loved it, specially kids! (8&10 years) A place we will remember for years and will definately go again when we are travelling to this area in Sweden.

The bed was a little bit soft.... but the same bed probably it's too hard for another back, so I can't blame the bed for it :)

We felt reallly welcomed by the owners. Everything worked as expected. The decoration was totally focused on the Wild West, which is something we didn't look after, but we got inmediately hooked by the atmosphere and the funny mood. It was all full of lovely details, showing care, taste and hard work looking for the guest welfare. It was really easy to feel confortable, and the kids simply adored it. We didn't have breakfast there, but it looked amazing.

We had a almost 24h stay on this place, our second home is USA and if you like Country/Western and Usa stuff, this is the right Adress. It's definitely Country life. Nice and quiet, you can Cook, Grill or have Breakfast in a cool Saloon. Breakfast was really good, Rooms are small and cozy but you don't need more. The owners are very friendly and Nice, we had very good conversations, you can do what you want if you follow the Rules. Definitely come back😊

Unfortunately Jannica felt not too happy with our visit and made it very clear in her behaviour towards us, she even felt it was appropriate to show us the middle finger in her dissatisfaction with our behaviour. we had some laughs and were maybe a bit loud be she didn't handle that very well. maybe she just had a bad day. we hope to come back one day and hopefully to receive a bit more hospitality.

Beautifully uniquely decorated rooms, this place is built with love. There are so many surprises, both we grown-ups as well as the kids fell in-love in this place, we didn't want to leave.

Beautiful and detailed ranch milieu. Rooms and public spaces also thoughfully decorated. Beds were comfortable and sheets soft. Loved the animals around and especially the two goats were hilarious. Short walking distance to a nature path around a lake.

the only negative at the rooms were the thin walls so we could hear our neighbors very well.

very nice location with a lot of place to walk around outside and play with the dogs. there is a nice lake near by we went for a swim in and the grill facility and seating was perfect for a summer evening with kids. the staff was super friendly and flexible to help where needed. We would definitely stop here again.

The walls were sooooo thin you could hear every single word in the other room. Luckily we had older children next to us but if you had a family room with young children it would be awful. There was a lot of things described as being able to do but nothing was introduced or offered to us.

Funky ranch concept that goes all the way. Really friendly, helpful and kind staff.
