Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandEverything was great about the hotel. Nice (if a little compact) room but a lounge area was a great. Breakfast was among the highest quality we have a had at a hotel - much nicer food than the usual buffet. Dinner also being included was a really bonus. Location was great and easy to get to other parts of town

LatviaWhen booking the room I choose 2 single beds, but we had a room with double bed, though it wasn't a complete surprise, because after booking I received message, that we will have single beds "if posible". Water drained too slowly in the sink and shower.
Nice and cozy hotel. It was possible to use kitchen to make coffee/tea at any time, felt like home. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was nice, with different choices of cold and warm foods. It was saturday night, but it was very quet in the room.

United KingdomI absolutely loved my stay at Parlan Hotel. On arrival, we were welcomed by extremely friendly and hospitable staff who offered to look after our bags; one of the girls was extremely accommodating and took some time to tell us about some of the popular attractions in Stockholm and planned an itinerary for us (we appreciated this a lot!) We were also permitted to check into our room earlier than scheduled. The rooms were very clean and spacious, I enjoyed the showers which were warm and pleasurable. The beds were a good size and VERY comfortable; I cannot emphasis this enough. The room was also nicely decorated and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Although hotel staff did not clean our room daily, this is a service you can request if you would like. Breakfast was served daily and was delicious! There was a good selection of breads, yoghurts, cheeses and cured meats. The quality of the food was excellent and I could not fault how friendly staff were when serving the food. The coffee and tea selection was also nice. The location of the hotel is central and in an excellent location; it is a nice, peaceful area which is not densely populated with people, however you are only 10/15 minutes walk from some of the main attractions. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stockholm.

AustraliaThe en suite bathroom is poorly designed and very dated, not to mention not very pleasant smelling. Towels are thin. Breakfast Sunday and Monday mornings is in another building—at the Clarion Hotel. No coffee is available in those mornings at the Pärlan, although you can make a cup of tea in the kitchen.
My room was huge, with 10-foot ceilings and a bay window. The decor throughout this unusual second-floor hotel within a residential apartment building is just lovely. As boutique accommodation, it has a stately yet homely ambiance. You feel very Swedish while staying here. Breakfast is very good and a light dinner is served around the corner at the nearby Clarion Wellington hotel, with which the Pärlan shares reception, bar and other facilities. Fika is served each afternoon. The staff are lovely—special shout out to Nils, who was very helpful and efficient.

FinlandRoom #29 was a bit small. Next time would take #27 or 28.
Breakfast was good and quiet just next to the room. We liked the calm atmosphere of the small hotel. The room facing to the garden was completely silent. A big positive surprise was the buffet dinner every night in the Clarion Collection hotel's restaurant. The dinner was colored by lively chefs. We were wondering why it was not mentioned at all at the hotel web site.

United StatesThe twin beds separated and a bigger place to place items from our suitcases.
The hotel was perfect for our needs and we loved having the opportunity to access The Hotel Welllington for their breakfasts and dinner. The breakfast at the Parlan were good also and the staff in both places were very helpful and pleasant. Convenient.

Denmark- Small room. They sold standard double room(14 square meters) for 3 adults, which does not give you enough space. - Very thin and light mattress - not so stable. I am fine with having two separate mattress for a double bed, however, their mattress was so shallow and light that it constantly got misplaced during the night as I turn over and gave me a huge back pain. Could invest more on it considering that it is ran by a big hotel chain.
Overall very homey and cozy stay :) - Lovely Stockholm apartment vibes, sharing a lovely view of courtyard with neighbors. - Super quiet as it was located in residential area. - Complimentary breakfast & dinner & private sauna. All for free - this was AMAZING. - If you are looking for a house to stay in Stockholm but still want a hotel service, this is for you. - Very kind and helpful staffs. - Superb location.

KenyaThe bathroom was a bit small and dated compared to rest of the interiors (tiles on the floor would be nice), and the shower flooded a bit.
A lovely, cosy hotel in great location. The rooms and common spaces were nicely decorated and very functional. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff at the Wellington hotel around the corner (where you check in) was very helpful.

United KingdomA better mirror in the main bedroom, would have been good and a couple more coat hangers in wardrobe. No plug in the wash hand basin, but we always carry a spare universal plug so not a problem for us.
Great location to explore Stockholm. Really pleased. Fika and light supper at Wellington were a bonus, as was the loan of an umbrella on a very wet Sunday. Local restaurant recommendations good too.

FinlandIn the summer months the rooms may get hot as there is no air conditioning. Due to the historic character of the building, the elevator is a bit to the small side.
The hotel is located in a big appartment of a historic building: high sealings and old floors of the common spaces make this place unique. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very good, only a short walk from the main attractions.
