Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryWe wanted to use the kitchen. It was well equipped however when someone used the pot we needed to wait for our turn as there was too few pot on stock. It was a little bit cold in the bathroom (and in the toilet also) which was a little bit inconvenient. But the shower was clean and it can be used by one person at a time so it can be locked and not showering with others which was a very good point.
The accommodation was perfectly suitable for our travel. I would stay here again and recommend if you need cheap place near the city center. Gamla Stan is just about 20 minutes walk (which I recommend to do so, we walked all the time and never get bored of the sight) but you can use the subway as well. Shops and bus stops also in the area. A beautiful viewpoint also just a few minutes walk. :)

United KingdomThe kitchen for guest use was on another boat, which was somewhat inconvenient. Hot water took ages to come through. The 'wetroom' set up would be fine, but water leaked into the bedroom area.
Food was good, strong WiFi, friendly staff, good beer! It's clean and fairly well situated. Easy transport links nearby, walking distance to Central Station.

AustraliaThe toilet space was very small. Someone tried to get into my room at 3am - I think it was someone drunk and lost trying to find their room as they promptly left after they heard that I was in the room (but as a solo woman traveler it was unsettling).
The boat was cosy, room was warm during the day and there was a small electric heater to plug in and warm the room at night. Room was clean. I had a big window with a nice view of the lake. Easy access to old town if you don't mind a little walk.

BelgiumIn the kitchen there was no electric water cooker only old one for a stove so cooking water took ages. There could be more mugs, spoons and dishes like a bowl.
We loved the hotel on a boat. We had a place for 6 people, very comfortable. The price and the location was just perfect. There was a comon kitchen for the guests with fridges and deep freez.

SwedenThe water was absolutely freezing so shower was a no go. The room was pretty cold and stayed cold throughout the night, despite having ca 10 elements in there.
The location was very convenient and the room itself was quite spacious.

United KingdomThe staff were very friendly throughout the stay, the premises/facilites were clean, and while I didn't eat there, the drinks offered were good as well. The rooms may be a little compact for some, but I think that comes with the novelty of the boat. Getting to the boat is easy from Central station, and going to the nearest station was a 15 min walk, or there were always some scooters around. All in, a great experience and very picturesque waking up on the frozen edges of the water (the boat was well heated so don't worry).

The view from my window was so stunning (frozen lake, city hall, lights, and sunrise in the morning 😍). The room was comfortable and warm, my private bathroom was also clean. Love it!

United KingdomThere was not a lot of storage space and the door was not completely sealed hence there was some noise and light coming from the corridor. The window was not very easy to open since it was porthole with a little hook which was not holding it securely.
The room was warm and comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel position is quite centric and close to the metro stop. The check-in and check-out was easy and quick.

FinlandI was a bit disappointed with the bed as the lower bed where I wanted to sleep had a very bad mattress with springs and areas hollowed out. The upper bed mattress was good so I slept there. The other issue is the noisy people who slam doors and have arguments. As a woman I am always a bit worried when I hear such noises but I noticed that there was a sign saying that we can report noisy neighbours to the nightguard. The radiators in the lower level did not seem to work much, luckily there was an electric heater in the room, which made the room quite cosy.
The staff were very nice and helpful. The location is great for my interests as I could walk to Östermalm and other places in Gamla Stan. The room was cosy and I liked that there is a clean and organised kitchen.

GermanyThere was a mix up in communication, we were told that late check-out (1pm) would be possible for a fee (which we were fine with), this was somehow not logged, so we were told by housekeeping at 11:15 that it was not possible, and that we needed to be out by 12. Happily, they did not charge us for this, however.
The captain's cabin was very cosy, the heating worked well (which was a big plus, given it was -16 outside!). The bed was very comfortable, and the room was perfectly clean. A short walk to Mariatorget, and a lovely spot on the water. The Thai restaurant on board was excellent, we ate there two out of four days!

DenmarkSmall details about the cleaning: glasses and cups cleaned or replaced if needed would be welcome, as well as for the snacks eventually consumed, especially as we stayed four nights.
The view from the captain suite is absolutely the reason because I choose this accommodation. The room is up level with the view: it is comfortable, spacious, elegant, and perfect private bathroom. Free small bar a plus touch.
