Comfortable, modern and new hotel in Stockholm.

This is a great hotel for families ! There is a floor for kids and families with table tennis and other games. Even a climbing wall! Modern and quirky furniture through out the public areas. Our kids had fun there, and there were quite a few other kids for them to play with. The breakfast was extensive and quite good quality with good gluten free and dairy free options. Even vegan kalles and hummus was on offer! It is served on the family floor as well as the ground floor, which worked well . The room was clean and modern with no sharp edges so very good for young children. No fridge which was a disappointment. Bunk beds were hard and two singles pushed together needed to be a double for us to be more comfortable. The customer service was excellent at this hotel. They were very welcoming and made sure to do all they could to make us feel a valued guest. A word of warning about the parking!Booking.com states there is parking at the hotel but there is actually no secure parking at the hotel itself. You have to park in public parking areas around the hotel that use private apps such as EasyPark. Be careful about where exactly you park in these parking areas….not all spaces in these areas are for EasyPark customers and they are for private parking only. You will get a hefty parking fine if you park in the wrong place. It’s not that easy to tell as they all look the same, so look out for, read and translate, all signs that you see…! The hotel’s location was very close by car to the Djurgården and museums such as Tekniska, Polis and Etniska museum. The hotel is close to the water and offers nice views.

The location is bit outside from city. However, the nearest bus stop is just 3/4 minutes walk from the hotel and the bus connects to centre and the old town. We expected a little bit more for the price we had paid. There are no kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the room. But the reception staff was happy to give me a free tea at 10:30pm. The breakfast selection is really good so, make sure to include breakfast with your stay if you are a breakfast kinda person.

Great staff and facilities, but limited breakfast options

I was disappointed by the lack of a small fridge in the room when needed. Additionally, the breakfast options could be more diverse. Some extra vegan meat, sausages, or omellets would make it more inclusive for guests who don’t eat other types of meat. A better-managed kitchen budget could help diversify the offerings for all guests.

Had a great stay at Scandic! The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The facilities were modern, clean, and well maintained, making the stay comfortable. Definitely great value for money, with a good balance of quality and affordability. Would stay again!

Many great details about this hotel made our holiday!

Our room was lacking a tea kettle which was a big minus for evening tea people like us. A couple of times we bought tea downstairs from the machine but it got very expensive that way. Also even though the cleaner came for the room the floor was still dirty afterwards. Everything else was cleaned though.

It was great that the breakfast times were bookable beforehand. That way there was no rush whatsoever. It’s a major aspect of having a relaxing holiday that you don’t need to queue for your morning porridge! Also the area in the second floor where you could relax and play games with your kids was fantastic. I wish more hotels had something like that. Also it was great to watch the ferry boats from your room window. The bus 76 was a convenient connection to the city, although be mindful that on weekends and evenings it runs less often. Furthermore we enjoyed the spa upstairs, although it could have had a bit more to it, it was mainly saunas and one small pool where you could sit. It was lovely and warm though, so great for relaxing. Plus you could buy drinks for enjoying there too.

During our recent visit—six years after our last stay—we noticed the hotel appears to be cutting costs. While the public areas remain acceptable, they’re starting to look dated and uninspiring. The breakfast buffet, once a highlight, has been scaled back. When we arrived around 8:30 (pre-booked), many items were depleted and not being replenished. Although the holiday season might be a factor, the staff seemed overwhelmed with cleaning tables and managing the buffet. The rooms will only be cleaned if one specifically asks for it, yet prices are still the same.

Very friendly and chill employees, clean facility, family friendly, simple but modern rooms, nice view on the harbour

The only negatvie was the skybar. kids were hungry and the restaurant was closed and there was no places to eat around. So we went to the skybar for pizza for the kids. But the "pizza" was not a pizza. It was a piece of bread with a bit of sous on ad it was so small it could fit in someones hand. And it costs around $12. But it was a nice place for a bear or two. Just dont go there for food.

Breakfast was ok. It was not the best but they had the essentials. The room was comfy and we had a good view of the harbour. It is cold outside but the rooms was fine

A bit far from the city center, but very accessible by public transport. We loved that it was located right by the harbor, where we could watch the ships arriving and departing. The breakfast was good and had a wide variety. The beds were comfortable and the bunk beds were perfect for a family of four, the kids loved them.

Staff did not give full information about our stay, and were very unflexible, not very helpful The room was cold and the staff said they just couldn't help in any way. The restaurant and the bar close early, barman also unflexible, robotic answers, no willingness to serve customers flexibly. The outside area is just a huge construction site.

the hotel is nice, the inside resting spaces with a lot of sitting options, climbimg wall and gym are all really good. Nice breakfast. Nice rooms.

Its difficult to reach from metro to hotel by walk as there is no clear direction and signs. Better to provide pickup and drop off service from the nearest metro station.

The reception staff is very good. Liked the room and outside port view. Very comfortable beds and nice washroom. Nice re-creational activities provided. Breakfast is very good and nice resturant area.
