Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongI stayed with my son the first night but his room is far away from our room. In addition, the air ventilation is not really well.
The BBQ buffet in the hotel garden that I booked extra is really recommended. The food and the environment is really good. The shampoo have good smell and quality.

SwedenThe room wasn't very big given that we paid for king size and we've stayed in much nicer rooms there (with a balcony). Restaurant was booked out for an event and the breakfast was poor and already out of most things at 9.30 on a Saturday morning. Also the shower head wouldn't stay up, and the bathroom ventilation was very loud.
Overall it's a nice hotel with a good location.

United KingdomIf it is very hot in the summer, it tends to get very hot in the room. There is no aircon.
We always stay at Sigtunastiftelsen Hotel when we are in the area. It never disappoints. A very quaint hotel in lovely quiet surroundings.

United StatesVery comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The hotel itself is beautiful and historic with a cool patio and nice restaurant. The included breakfast was one of the best I've ever had traveling in Europe, with lots of small touches (like pre-brewed Earl Grey tea) that made it special.

AlbaniaThe room was quite basic (not like in the photos), and small. It didnt have any facilities. The breakfast was ok, not to many options, but still ok. I think if we had a different room we would be much more happier.
The hotel was very good and the experience in overall was very good. Apparently when we booked the room and checked for the baby cot they missed it, but the lady at the reception fixed this in a moment and when we checked in the baby cot was already in the room. The area was very relaxing.

United KingdomThis hotel and location is great for reflective contemplation since it has a Christian approach and outlook. Its located close to a lake with neighbouring forest to one side and the historic town of Sigtuna on the other.

SwedenThe quality of the bed mattress was mediocre at best. The breakfast was very unremarkable, although what did items there were, were tasty. The WiFi was unlocked, and you needed an email address to connect.
The location and surrounding area were excellent.

AustraliaThe room looked very pretty and spacious in the photos but the functionality was poor. There was very little room on either side of the bed, no bedside cabinets and coffee & tea were on another floor. The mattress was very soft but we are wondering if this is a Scandinavian preference.
It was a great location for our one-night stay - an easy walk to the old town, ruins and harbour. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was warm and quiet. There was also an elevator to the room.

United Arab EmiratesRooms are very small, even though we had a queen size. Wonder what the original rooms looks like? No TVs in the room. Tiny bathrooms, small double bed, narrow and short. Not comfortable. The breakfast was quite limited, finished items were not re-stocked. And came down 1 hour before closing time. Nothing really to do at the hotel. The bar was very much unmanned, even when you rang the bell, it took awhile for the staff to arrive. The dinner had a set menu, so ended up eating in town. Not at all worth the money we paid.
The location is great for a short walk down to Sigtuna center. The breakfast was tasty. It's in an old building with lots of history and interesting rooms.

SwitzerlandWe were, frankly, disappointed with the evening meal offered us. We had booked it in advance and said we would appreciate a vegan meal. All we were offered was a salad. The salad itself was great, but it was very light fare. Having cycled all day we would have liked something more substantial.
Lovely ambience with central rose garden and beautiful building. Friendly and helpful staff.

GermanyThe information policy about a few things could have been better (e.g. restaurant opening times and menu, temporary closing of the hotel the day I left, availability of a pair of bikes). The hotel should sell its umbrellas as a souvenir for rainy days and guests in need :).
I had the most lovely room (4th floor) and was very happy to have chosen a room with a view of lake Mälaren. The building and the surroundings are peaceful, and it sometimes felt like being in a Swedish museum almost on your own (in a very good sense). We also had a lovely dinner at the restaurant one evening. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel and it is walking distance from Sigtuna center (about 15 minutes). It takes 5 min to the lake.

SpainThe quiet ubication in the forest, the pretty Linée room decorated with a copy of flower wall paper of the 18th century. The views on the lake and forest. The modest but good restauration. The free parking. We were the only no swedish! Ech room has the name of an important scientist, artist or intellectual, an I think is decorated in relation of him or her. I will recomend it to my friends.

SwedenThe check in times and check out times were not ideal. Check in was too late and check out was too early. Although, we were able to keep the luggage in the baggage room. The dinner (3 course meal) was not good at all and was super expensive.
