Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandIt said that lockers have assigned numbers but I couldn't see any numbers. There was supposedly a female only bathroom somewhere but I couldn't find it (it would be good to mark in on the map which is in the room).
Nice and quiet hostel. There were not too many people when I stayed which was perfect. You have to check in by yourself because the reception is unmanned but they gave very clear instructions and everything worked alright.

IndiaThe room sizes were a little small & the fact that it didn't have any windows was a bit inconvenient especially considering its great location.
Clean rooms & toilets, comfortable beds, and excellent wifi. Great location just a few minutes walk from the central station & all other public transportation facilities. Near all major restaurants and cafes.

GermanyThere was not a lot of daylight due to a lack of windows, and the doors made a loud noise when closing. It would have been good to know in advance that you need to bring your own lock if you want to make sure your stuff doesn't get stolen. Since there was no staff on site, it did not feel super safe leaving my luggage at the hostel after checkout either - it seems quite easy for unauthorized people to get in.
I really liked the fact that each bed had its own little curtain one could close for a bit more privacy or darkness. The location was great as well - the hostel is close to the train station as well as the city centre, so you can easily walk to all of the main sites but also pop back to the hostel any time during the day if you need a bit of a break. I did not make use of the kitchen, but there is one, and the tables for sitting and making use of the hostel's free wifi were also a plus.

Self check in experience was really good. My room was without a window however there is a fan and ac. For me it was good experience and the was alone in the room with bunk bed

GermanyThere is no daylight in the common rooms. The room doors close pretty loudly and the ceiling is not very sound proof, thus earplugs are a very good idea.
Very close to the main station as well as the city center. Everything was clean and worked properly in the kitchen and bathrooms. Friendly staff.

United StatesThe place was great and there are only a couple minor things: the lack of secure luggage storage for early/late check in and out, and all the doors tended to slam (difficult to prevent making noise) but guests were respectful and kept decent hours during my stay so it didn’t effect my sleep.
Fantastic location, very close to the train station, restaurants/cafes, parks, and attractions. Plenty of space to cook, eat, and hang out. Several places to enter code and use key, so felt secure. Clean. Fans in room. I was able to enter my room early before check in and used the facilities for a few hours after check out, which was great. Quiet during my stay, even though it looked like all rooms were in use. Although there’s no luggage storage for before check in/after checkout, you are free to leave luggage under the check in desk which is behind one or two doors that require entry codes. There were a lot of bags stored there during the day and it felt pretty safe, especially as the cleaners and other friendly guests were around.

GermanyWith the unmanned reception it doesn't feel like a hostel. No real common area or organized activities so it felt very anonymous and there was no communication between travelers. But other than that a nice place to stay.
Very clean, very good location close to city center and central station, super fast communication via mail (my emails got answered within minutes). I was in a very spacious dorm with many windows and a nice wooden floor. Very quiet.

NetherlandsNothing actually. It's exactly as described: a hostel and not a fancy hotel. But it's nice and clean. And friendly
If you just need an overnight stay and don't want to book one of the expensive hotels, this is a perfect spot. Of course it's a hostel with shared facilities, but it's spotless. Also a large kitchen available, with tables etc., everything clearly explained. Entering with doorcodes, but communication with the owners is perfect and helpful. They think along with you. You can either prepare something to eat for yourself (storage room by name in fridge) or go to the numerous spots around.

United KingdomChildren’s daycare above acts as an alarm clock in the mid-week with lots of running stamping about - not a relaxing atmosphere or great to be studying in the communal areas but a nice excuse to visit the city library or one of the many coffee shops that is close by.
Great location in the heart of Lund. Great to have good cooking facilities and was able to do laundry for extra fee. Easy self check in and out.
