Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNeeded more space around sink for items.
Room was very small, but it was also cheap, so you get what you pay for. Location was reasonably close to public transport (10-15min walk). Shower was nice.

TurkeyWe would have been happier if the rooms were a bit more spacious.
We came to the hotel for a one-night stay for a business conference. The location was central. Overall, we left satisfied.

United Arab EmiratesRooms were quite small – Fine for a short stay, but could feel cramped if you’re staying longer or have a lot of luggage. Noise levels – Soundproofing wasn’t great. You might hear people in the hallways or common areas, especially during busy hours. Limited amenities – The minimalist setup works for some, but if you’re expecting hotel-style perks like room service, toiletries, or daily housekeeping, you might be disappointed. Shared facilities can get crowded – Communal kitchens and laundry areas are a great concept, but they can be hit-or-miss depending on how busy it is. Price vs. comfort – Slightly pricey for the room size and comfort level, especially compared to other boutique hotels in Singapore.
Lyf Bugis Singapore offers a fun, youthful vibe in a great central location. The co-living concept is well-executed, especially for solo travelers and digital nomads looking for a social atmosphere. The interior design is creative and Instagram-worthy, with lots of communal spaces like shared kitchens and lounges. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth. Rooms are compact but clean and functional—more minimalist than luxurious. Soundproofing could be better, and some guests may find the rooms a bit too basic for the price. Overall, it’s a solid option if you value community, convenience, and design, but might not be ideal for those seeking quiet or upscale amenities.

AustraliaThe location was very good..short walk to Bencoolen MRT station, eating places (right opposite the hotel!) & Bugis shopping area. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was clean & bed is very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to a bigger room upon checking in. What more could we ask for?

The location is ideal. The MRT station is close by on Bencoolen street. Many different food outlets on the doorstep. We will revisit in a bigger room.

AustraliaThe shower was quite cramped and the water would go everywhere. you'd need to request for a shower curtain if you wanted one, which I thought was a bit weird. the sink was quite small and cramped, so washing your face in the morning was difficult. The water pressure in the sink was a bit weak in my opinion, but not terrible I guess. it wouldve been nice if both sides of the bed had access to power ports. when connected to the TV via your phone, the shows would load pretty slow, maybe its worth the hotel looking into their connection issues.
I asked for a complimentary upgrade for my stay and it was given to us. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Location was good and near alot of food places. Close to MRT station as well. Bed was comfortable, the bath towels were not bad, we've used softer ones from other hotels.

ChinaAt my stay there was construction still ongoing in two floors which occupied one of the elevators but was acceptable. Breakfast could start earlier.
Really good location at Bugis with a lot of restaurants, bars and smaller markets. Just 500m away from MRT from where you easily could reach a lot of famous destinations.

United StatesI think my bed had mites. This is not really uncommon in hotels, but they did seem kind of vicious with their bites. Surprisingly their mattresses don't have protectors on them, so it makes sense they have them.

TaiwanThere is not much I can say I didn't like because the facilities were nice and the staff was friendly. In terms of the room, it was small but given the normal size of rooms in Singapore it was sufficient.
The location was the best feature due to its proximity to downtown and all the main areas. Food was very easy to purchase because stores were very close and MRT was a 5 minute walk away.
