Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Great location with Buges shopping mall nearby. Good pool area and also handy to have a hair salon for a haircut. Breakfast is great as part of room cost. Staff very helpful and courteous.

United KingdomI turned up at roughly 7am which I told the hotel I would be. They kindly held my bags and said you would not be able to access room until 3pm. I was fine with that. However I would have thought that they would have seen I was tired and offered me a drink, told me about the facilities of the hotel, seen if I wanted anything to eat (so pay to eat breakfast) and just explain where we are located in the city and how you can get about. They didn't even explain where the pool was, how breakfast worked, nothing. I thought this was poor considering many westerners don't actually choose to holiday in Singapore on its own, its used very much as a transit Country and so they should be all over you making sure your visit is up to standards, was really disappointed by this, I was really tired and could have done with a water, snack and a coffee. I stayed in the Premier wing. Its noisy, you can constantly hear the lift going up and down, its a weird sound, sounds like a spaceship. The room also smelt of mould.
It was very clean and there was lots of choice at breakfast for most people to eat and drinks almost what ever they liked. Staff were helpful when you asked them a questions and the dry cleaning service was excellent - Expensive, but excellent.

AustraliaThe hotel appeared to have no bar, though lots of places are nearby. When we asked, the reception suggested the Long Bar at the Raffles Hotel across the road. The swimming pool area is basic. For example, the pool bar was closed though refreshment could be ordered on-line and delivered. The surrounding building overlooking the pool were concrete tower blocks and not especially nice. The pool itself was quite small. Not really a 5-start hotel (as shown on booking.com) - 4-start would be more accurate.
Location was excellent - right in the centre of Singapore opposite the Raffles Hotel. Close to shops, bars and restaurants, and MTR. Plenty of attractions nearby! The rooms were comfortable and clean, though not particularly opulent. Seemed more functional than plush. Staff seemed friendly and helpful.

DenmarkThe pool area was too small for such a big hotel and the pool was probably the coldest in Singapore. This was a bit disappointing for such a big and expensive hotel. If you have kids I would choose a different hotel with a better pool area. We were missing a hotel bar where you can sit an get a soda or drink when coming home from a long day of shopping and sight seeing. The bar at the hotel was closed all week.
Nice and helpful staff. Great location within walking distance to all major sights. Shopping and restaurants just outside the door. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and even if we came down late there was still a lot to choose from. Big spacious rooms.

United KingdomThe only thing we had to check about was the time and location of where breakfast was served.
The hotel was very clean, the service at reception, in the restaurants and concierge was very good. The food was hot, plentiful and had a wide variety to choose from.

AustraliaI fail to see how this hotel could charge the full price (I was lucky to get an exceptional 50% off) but I could not see the full price value - hotel room was great but nothing outstanding. However I do appreciate they have a LOT of staff, very friendly and helpful which I guess is also possibly management's biggest expense to cover and all the staff I interacted with also very knowledgeable and approachable.
Breakfast buffet excellent as is the hotel's location - easy walkability to many attractions.

AustraliaSwimming pool was too cold. Most guests we observed entering the water had to gradually immerse themselves into the water as it was uncomfortable. The temperature could do with being a couple of degrees warmer to take the edge off of the coldness. We would have liked the pool to have remained open later than 7pm. Many hotels we have stayed at dont close their pools until 9pm.
Nice spacious room. Quiet. Friendly staff. Nice pool area.

AustraliaThe carpet started to smell a little funky after the first three nights.
The location was fantastic. Across the road from Chijmes and the Raffles, plus the Raffles shopping centre was on the diagonal corner. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.
